Tough, no-nonsense collar that gives peace of mind
I put this tactical collar on my dog and it’s quickly become my go-to for walks, outdoor time, and everyday wear. The 1000D reinforced nylon feels rugged — strong enough for big dogs like my Cane Corso and the metal buckle gives me confidence that it won’t snap under pressure. What I really like: the built-in compartment designed for a tracker (like an AirTag) means I don’t need to fuss with dangling tag holders or risk losing them. Everything sits snug on her neck. The adjustable fit and sturdy handle on top make leash control easier, especially when I’m juggling a busy walk or multiple dogs. Bottom line: this collar feels durable, secure, and practical — exactly what I want for everyday life with my dogs. The only thing I have an issue with is that it’s not terribly easy to adjust. Other than that, this is one solid collar for a larger dog.

There are many collars like this one on the market. And on Amazon. I’m writing a review (which I don’t do often) because NONE of the other ones compare. I went through two before this one- one broke, one was a totally different ugly color than the picture. This is the collar you want. True to color and size. I got the large and it fits my German Shepherd Husky mix well.

Heavy materials and buckle, with a weak link
I really like the look and feel of this collar. At first blush, this is a thick, strong, durable and well made collar. The strapping is thick and durable feeling and the buckle is solid and strong with easy to open clasps. The holder for the AirTag also feels well made although, there were a couple concerns for me, particularly for the price.If your dogs neck is not too large, then the collar is held together by the buckle and velcro. If their neck is around 18″ or so, then the velcro is too short to connect and only the buckle holds the collar closed. This may be fine, but the adjustment strap with the buckle is only a single layer held to the collar by some stiching. It is not as thick as the rest of the collar and IMHO is a weak link of the collar.

Beefy as heck, super solid
General observation on this collar is it is extremely beefy. It’s super strong, more than thick enough for my large breed dog.Got a decent weight to it, and the attachment where you would connect a leash is stitched and really sturdily anchored. You’re not gonna break it.Also, it actually has kind of a double protection to keep the collar on. In addition to the metal dog eared clasps that allow it to come on and off, it actually is Velcro as well, so if your dog got it caught on something and maybe it would’ve pushed those ears in to bust it loose, you still have the Velcro holding pretty strong as a back up mechanism.It took me a few minutes to figure out how the AirTag holder worked, but I finally got it and I’d honestly say that that’s probably the only weak spot potentially that I see on this. It’s made of plastic, and the two plastic halves sandwiches around these metal tabs that hold it in place on the collar, and the screws for the AirTag compartment go through it. It’s got a rubber ring inside to keep it waterproof, but I’m not sure that I think it will stay waterproof for a long period of time as I think that plastic can get beat up, and probably lose its seal some affecting this to some degree.That won’t really hurt me in any way because I’ll take that collar off before I let my dog jump in the pool anyways, as it’s got a soft fabric on the inside of the collar, so it’s more gentle on the dogs neck, which I don’t wanna get soaked constantly cause I do think it would eventually develop a smell if it was always damp.I don’t think just general rain is gonna be an issue with it at all. I would just be a little careful if you have a dog that likes to swim, and at least check on the integrity of that plastic AirTag holder every so often to make sure it’s still in good shape.I’ve paid the same amount of money for really basic collars that are half as good as this, so I definitely recommend it to anybody who is considering it.
