Good but Too unpredictable
My dogs took right to this new food. They sit next to its container in the morning. Its also small enough my chihuahua can eat the same food as the other 2. It did jump up in price by $5 tho. From $24 to $29 is to big a fluctuation for me to subscribe to it. Makes it seem like price and availability is uncertain. I’ll keep looking for a reg brand.

Highly Rated & Dogs Loved It … Now Priced at or Higher Than Name Brands
Amazon brand products have always offered great quality at a great price. Such was the case with their WAG Small Breed Dry Dog Food. My 12 rescued dogs (9 miniature dachshunds, 1 minpin/chi mix, and 2 chihuahuas) LOVED this food. I loved the small size of the kibble, the high rating on Dog Food Advisor, and the reasonable price (I go through 30+ lbs a month). I’d give 5 stars; however, the recent price increase OVER the per-pound price of many name brands has me switching to IAMS small breed, which is just as highly rated, but $.50 a lb. cheaper than WAG after the recent price increase. That’s $35.89 vs.$28.49 on the base subscription price (not including the subscription discount) – a $7.40 difference. At the rate I use it (2 bags a month), that’s $177.60 over the course of a year. Not sure why the price was increased, but at this point, I have no choice but to switch to IAMS (which, after I got a small bag to try, the dogs loved just as much). If it were a matter of pennies, I’d stick with WAG, but at $.50 a pound, it’s too rich for my blood. What’s up, Amazon? This long-time customer is disappointed.

Our dogs like it. They are small yorkies, and the smaller kibble is nice for them. They especially like this kibble with a little warm water in it – sort of like doggy gravy. haha. We asked the Vet about this food, especially in light of all the trendy “fresh”, “freeze-dried raw” and other dog foods that are being promoted as “healthier”. Our vet says this is a perfectly acceptable food and there is no reason to spend money on the trendy, designer dog foods that are all the rage on Socials. Our 2 are healthy, happy, and weigh exactly what they should. Love that it comes to my door.

Excellent! Compare to Purina One Small breed
My Jack Russell has been eating Wag small bite dog food for 4 years. I compared the ingredients to science diet. This had better ingredients.IAdded photo from Purina One. and updated wag ingredients. If you’re considering a change in dog “crunchies” then zoom in on the ingredients and compare. You might save a little money. The bag size did suffer from shrink-flation. Used to be a 20 # bag, now it’s 15 lbs.I’ve included a pic of the ingredients and the list is longer than what I remember.

Picky Service Dog Approves
My service dog was eating 4Health small breed formula for several months until she started to puke it up. It was then time to find an affordable, but still quality, food for her. I decided to stick with small breed formulas when I found Wag. Because the old food was making her sick, we completely switched, cold turkey, to Wag. The sickness stopped. She’s gaining the weight she had lost back, her coat is getting shiny again. For hydration purposes, I do “float” her food (put enough water in it to make it bloat up), as she doesn’t drink a lot and this does help to make sure she’s adequately hydrated on hot days when she’s working. The pieces are very small, so if you have a TINY dog, this food will work for them. I’ve actually never seen kibble so small, even for small breed formulas.I did get this food when it was more than half off, just taking a chance that hopefully she’ll be able to stomach it. It worked. I’ve never seen her so excited to eat a certain food before, so she really likes it (and she can be kind of picky). We do pair it with SeaDent which is meant to help with plaque, and Wag brand dental chews for tiny dogs. All of these together have actually improved her plaque and smelly breath, too.Regardless, I’m just glad to have my girl back, and she is glad to be able to work again. Thank you, Wag!
