Excellent product!
These licking mats are perfect for my 5 lb puppy. It keeps her busy and helps to tire her out. They come with a rubber spatula and a cleaning brush which make it easier to clean in all the grooves.

Great licking mats
My dogs looove having their frozen and unfrozen treats on these mats. It actually keeps them busy for a while!It cleans pretty well, I appreciate the cleaning brush and the spatula, there’re good quality and make the process of using mats easier. Peanut butter doesn’t get stick to the spatula as it does to the regular spoon.The suction doesn’t work on my laminate floor unfortunately, so I just put it in their beds.Great enrichment product for a good price.I’ll get more soon!

Actually sturdy!
Actually really sturdy for the price! I have a one year old, high energy, 50lb Shepard mix who recently had surgery so she can’t really walk or run around and these mats last at least 20 minutes wearing her out! And the best part she hasn’t been able to chew it up! I will say it won’t stick to the bottom of the crate unless it’s a little damp but smoother surfaces sticks perfectly.

Maybe not for cats.
I got this as a more ~enriching~ way to feed my [fat but starving] cat his wet food. And also to slow him down so he’d be less likely to barf. Before using it I had been serving him “dinner” in about 6 small serving over the course of the evening, so he wouldn’t eat too much, too fast. I also bought some creamy treat tubes (like gogurt, but pureed meat) at the same time i bought this, to introduce him to the idea. The treats were appealing and he tried his best to lick off every morsel (remember, he’s starving) but some (basically all) of the textures just don’t work well for the size of his tongue, the amount of force he was able to apply, and his method of applying that force (in a sliding, dare I say, licking motion). Still, I wasn’t put off. However, when I tried this same process with his canned food (which has a less creamy texture; sometimes it is chunks in gravy, sometimes it is a paté, but it is never a creamy bisque) he was not able to get much of the food and it got pretty gross after only one day. I didn’t want to put fresh food on top of the crusty old dry food from the day before, and it’s tedious to clean it every time you use it, if you’re using it as a replacement for a bowl (sorry but even I reuse paper plates, so this child can deal). In summary, it didn’t really work for the purpose I bought it for, but I didn’t want to bother returning it after I used it a few times. I also deal with pets a lot. So maybe I’ll use it some day. I will say: I really like all the suction cups on the back, it attaches to surfaces REALLY well, which is necessary for it to function. It also is very sturdy. The silicone is thick and smooth, it is easy to clean with a quick rinse. Soap and a brush aren’t even necessary. I think it would work well for putting something like peanut butter on it (friendly reminder to make sure it doesn’t have xylitol in it) and using it for a dog. Dogs ~tend~ to be more into the idea of licking things (especially if it’s tasty) and they also tend to lick things harder with their big wet slobbery tongues. You could even pop it in the freezer before giving it to the pupper for added difficulty. Overall, it was a decent value and a good size. It just didn’t work for what I needed.

suction is crazy strong so if you press down too hard when spreading, the food will go flying when you try to lift it up. my cats LOVE the challenge though! bought these mainly for treats but might use it for meal time as one of my cats basically inhales his food. easy to clean as well
