Great little cat toy
My cats like this toy a lot. I love that it goes into a sleep state.And then if the cats walk past it and bump into it, then it turns back on for another play session. Because it does this, the battery life is very long. This is a good toy.

It’s a winner — keeps cats entertained long after the newness wears off
Not all cats like the same toys or gadgets. And sometimes, they like it for a while, then get bored and ignore it.So far, that’s not the case here. Our cats chase the dot and have learned to smack the device to get it started. It has kept their attention far longer than most toys. Oh, and the motor is near silent — some other laser toys (which tend to be far less random), also sound like a John Deere combine powering up. This is quiet enough to ignore. Definite plus.For our purposes, it also being a USB-C rechargeable, rather than feeding it an endless supply of AA batteries is another plus.

Fun while it worked
My cats really enjoyed this toy at first, and it worked well when it arrived; unfortunately, a little over a month into normal use, the periscope that the laser comes out of began sticking. The laser remains powered on, but the rotation will stop and stay pointed in one spot. Sometimes manually rotating the periscope back and forth will get it moving again, but other times it does not. I attempted to contact the seller to ask if there was a known fix, but Amazon does not currently provide a direct way to reach them for this item. Fun concept and great when it works, but reliability over time may be an issue.

Stays charged for a long time, charges quickly and is small.
If your cat loves a laser toy and you hate sitting still and working one – this is the most awesome cat toy I have ever purchased. Once they figure out that they can just bat it to start it up again – they are in heaven. I have 4 cats, one just recently rescued from outside because of a physical attack that required stitches. He was an outdoor cat for 3 years and his toys were whatever he could find. He absolutely went bonkers. My 11-year-old male who has congestive heart failure plays with it – gives him some exercise. Buy it – you won’t regret it. Frees up your time and entertains them.

Our kitties just love it. Even the older cat got in on chasing the little red light. It’s great that they can turn it on by themselves. The kittens just give it a slap and they turn it on.

This thing is a piece of crap!!! The laser only shoots out about a foot, if even that. The rotation hardly moves at all. Constantly stopping and you have to touch it to get it to start moving again. I even stopped it to see if my cat was interested in the catnip. He just sat there looking at it. He’s a 3 year old cat. He loves toys and catnip, and toys with catnip in it. So, if you’re wanting to spend a little extra on a great toy for your cat. This is not the one to choose. I was so excited when I bought it for him. So disappointed in it. I gave it a one star, but only because it wasn’t letting me submit my review without choosing one.

The cats love it
We have 2 young cats, and they absolutely love this toy! I just ordered a second one, so they’ll have one upstairs and downstairs. They come get me when it shuts off, only one of them has realized he can start it again on his own. So cute. Highly recommend. Editing to add that they have been playing with them both for 6 and 7 months and the batteries are still going strong (after a charging of course) and if you are like me and those small laser lights where you hold down a button on a small toy causes your hand to cramp after no time, these are perfect, they have a stationary setting as well as two speeds that rotate, my hand doesn’t cramp and there is no button to hold down. Well worth the money.
