Accurate tracking and amazing customer service
This tracker is amazing. I have owned a Petloc8 for more that 7 months now and use it every day. it uses GPS and Wi-Fi to track, and goes where the Apple Air products fail because it does not rely on other nearby users to pinpoint/triangulate the pet location.My cat “lost” its first tracker ( I know exactly where that 1st tracker is, it it just not retrievable!) and purchased a replacement. I used the “contact support” found on the app, and received a quick response. The support team at Petloc8 rolled the remaining subscription from the 1st device onto the 2nd AND they followed up not once but twice to be sure everything went smoothly and I was satisfied. This product allows me to set up WiFi zones and Geofences that will alert me when the pet has crossed out of (or into) predefined areas and is small enough for my 9 pound cat to wear. Battery life has not been a problem, I don’t know how long it would last between charges, as we take the collar off every nightThe Petloc8 Mini has exceeded my expectations I can at anytime pinpoint exactly where my cat is exploring and the tracker is small enough he does not seem to notice. if you live in a rural area this tracker is by far the most accurate I have tried and has been well worth the subscription

not good at all
Our cat disappeared in huge snow storm day after thanksgiving. He showed up 4 weeks later. Bought this to see where he goes and if he is at another house or barn. After charging to 100%, activated this and walked around the yard. The location seemed to be within eyesight of actual location (within 100 ft). I put it on our cat, which he was not bothered by and let him out. he wandered around for 15 minutes and proceeded to head off towards stream at middle of property. the connection dropped out within 100 feet of house, and that was 3 hours ago. I walked around the property and although I am rural, I get cell signal everywhere. Honestly, a jingle bell would be more useful for tracking. The only way for this to be a bigger letdown is if it exploded,… which it may have but now I may never know. Missing our cat again.Edit: Our cat came back fortunately 8 hrs later. The tracker is completely dead, can not charge, and will not turn on. Total POS. Lasted about half an hour.Edit 2: For several hours, the tracker could not be turned on, but then it could. We recharged it and tried again. it worked for an hour and the cat came back, but never left the yard. Gave it another go the next day. Fully recharged, let the cat out and tracked him to the edge of the property (viewed through binoculars). The location was varying by several hundred ft. 20 minutes in the tracker went offline and has not come back on. That was 4 hrs ago. Seems the issue is this thing losses connection (to what i do not know, connection to what?) The unit seems to turn itself off when it losses connection, complete defeating its purpose. GPS is a received signal, there is no connection. Cell towers are a connection, but service here is fine. It could be that the cat is getting into some barn with no viable cell service inside, but if the unit were still functioning, then we would atleast see the cat when it leaves the barn, and have an idea of what may have happened. Our tracker was set to self update every half hour. I manually sampled the cats location about a dozen times before the connection loss, and the battery still indicated 70%. My guess is that when the cat comes back, the tracker will be off. Seems that there is a firmware or hardware issue regarding going off line. same applies to the accuracy. The worst cells seem to get gps within 50 ft. The the credit of the company, they have offered a refund, which i will likely be taking them up on.

Good Tracker
The tracker was easy to setup and it is fairly accurate when I need to find my cat Tito. I would highly recommend getting this tracker because of the ease of setting it up as well as working the app. The only issue I have that is if you go to live tracking mode make sure to be cautious to turn it off after your pet is found otherwise your battery will drain fast. The battery was at 100% and I turned it off because the tracker was taking longer than normal. I checked the battery and it was at 90%. The time lapsed was only 1-2 minutes. Other than that, it works fine, I would have given it five stars, but I find that the battery is a big issue.

Shocking customer service and product. Don’t waste your money with this product. The geofence, which is the main reason I got the tracker, doesn’t work. The minimum area is over 165 yards which is huge for a residential backyard. And I spent hours trying to get notifications for when the tracker left the geofence. The tracker takes up to 20 minutes to update its location and then still doesn’t notify when the pet has left the geofence.I spent hours trying to contact support and when through resets and every possible fix with nothing working. Was told the issue would be passed onto the higher ups and then just never heard anything. Also the customer support bot is the most useless thing on the app. Constantly asking for the device id and then saying ‘ Oops! Couldn’t get that, am a new bot in town and learning with time.You can try rephrasing your question”.My questions were simple like how can I cancel my subscription and can I speak with a team member. There is also no way on the app to cancel your subscription and so the circles continue. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT UNLIMITED HEADACHES.
