Scratch Happy, Scratch Healthy Cat Scratching Post
Our family has four cats who love to scratch but not always where we would like; so we ordered the Pawalaya Cat Scratching Post, 35 Inch Tall Cat Scratcher. The order arrived well packaged in a cardboard box with clear instructions and all the parts and tools required for assembly.Even with my dyslexia, the cats and I assembled the scratcher quickly and only had to take it apart a couple times because I mixed up the two small, flat circular disks. For anyone else, assembly will be a breeze and take only a couple minutes.The completed cat scratching post was attractive, sturdy and about 35 inches in height to top of the scratching part, while 48 inches to the top of the “plant.” It had a “grass” base, a circular ball chaser section, an attached hidden mouse toy, two scratching sections and a “plant” top.The cylindrical scratching sections were made of sisal, which is a safe, natural product. I was a little concerned about the safety of the artificial turf base and top plant; but both seemed to be well secured (I only found one stray piece of grass), and none of our cats tried to eat the grass or plant.We put the scratcher in our new, formerly homeless cat Lilith’s room. Lilith took right to it, playing with the ball chaser.We recommend the modern, well-designed Pawalaya Cat Scratching Post, 35 Inch Tall Cat Scratcher for your scratch happy cats, too. It appears to be fun, safe and healthy for pets; very low maintenance; and a good value for the price.

Giant sisal rope toy with fun features
I have two little gremlins right now. One that is declawed and 9 years old and one that is 2.5 years old and not declawed. This was their present for the holiday season this year and it came a little bit early, so of course I had to indulge them.The declawed cat will use it as a scratching/stretching post the other cat refuses to use it for the scratching post (to my dismay), they both love the extras especially the mouse which they can play hunt.10 minutes was all it took me to set up (I have a disability and dexterity issues so it takes me longer to do some of these tasks like screwing the pieces together but it was ridiculously easy.I had both of their interest piqued and then I had their full participation and watched both of my cats go absolutely bananas while playing and exploring every inch of this choice so far. They love the little mouse at the bottom because they can’t pull it out all the way which I didn’t realize was a feature until I got it and that’s probably the best part of it even though there’s so many other parts of this I love. The little grassy textured area at the bottom I think is a nice touch. The base is really sturdy thankfully as well

Multi-sensory cat toy that blends fairly well with your decor
My cats really enjoy the scratching post and the ball track making this a nice space saving multi-purpose toy. The neutral colors and small footprint make this an easy piece to place in any room without contrasting your decor. My cats do like to bat at the leaves on top. the leaves are the only drawback to this piece- they look not only fake but very cheap, they are not easily positionable either. This would be better without the leaves. This is one of the taller scratching posts my cats have, and it has become one of their favorites as they get a good long stretch and scratch on it.

Both my cats love it!
Very happy with this scratching post. Both of my cats love it, including the one that turns his nose up at other scratching posts and would rather go at our shoes instead.It was pretty easy to put together, just had to remove some stickers and use an Allen wrench (included) for one step, but the rest could be done by hand with little effort. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.There are a lot of features that keep both of my cats attentions, including the wooden balls at the base that they bat around, the soft ball at the top for them to swat at, and the scratcher that they really like. There’s also a little toy mouse in a hole in the middle, but they haven’t taken much notice of that.All of the wooden parts are well sanded, so there are no splinters or sharp edges that I’d worry about hurting them. It’s also very stable; the larger one of my cats (~20lbs) got the zoomies and climbed up the side, fully off the ground, and it barely wobbled.Last, I love how it looks. The grass around the base and fake leaves at the top look nice and decorative in my living room.Very happy overall, I’d definitely recommend this scratching post.

Entertaining scratcher for my kitty!
I can see this cat scratcher is a good example of sensible cost cutting without completely sacrificing the overall quality. Compared to some of my older scratchers that I paid a similar price for, a few materials are cheaper. The rolling ball track is MDF rather than solid wood, the post is a bit more slender and not quite as tall, and the decorative divider for the scratching post is made from thin felt instead of wood with decorative trimmings. The sisal rope is also a little thinner, but it’s very neatly wrapped and well secured to the post, with no glue or staples sticking out which I really appreciate. The MDF is nicely finished and smooth, and the wooden balls are exceptionally smooth too, rolling very fast and freely around the track. One of my younger kitties absolutely loves the rolling ball track (as shown in the video), and although three balls are included, I chose to use just one so it rolls continuously and keeps her entertained. There’s also a little mousey toy at the base on an elastic string, which did grab my cat’s attention, but it doesn’t feel like it will last very long as it can be pulled out easily and the string could be bitten through. The base itself is very heavy and sturdy, and the decorative plant at the top is genuinely nice in both material and craftsmanship. Overall, despite a few durability concerns and cheaper materials, it’s still well put together, works as intended, and my cats genuinely enjoy using it. Just avoid getting it wet at the base as the MDF on the ball track would likely deform.
