I have bought numerous cat scratching posts over the years and I believe this one is the best quality for the cost. It is not tippy because it has a wide, weighted base. It is tall enough for adult cats to stretch up & scratch. The rope scratcher comes in 2 parts, so I will be able to swap them after my cats wear out the top portion. Assembly was quick & easy. My 5 year-old cat doesn’t play was much anymore, but my 1 and a half year-old cat loves the toys included with the scratcher.

Our cats love this scratching post. We got it to keep them from scratching the couches (which also have protective covers on them for scratching). They love playing with the balls in the base and the feathers at the top. It fits in well in the living room, where we have it at. It’s very stable and holds up to their play.

This works well for the intended purpose. My one cat in particular makes regular use of this post. Unfortunately, she also like rolling around on the base and gets her collar tags stuck in the ball track. She has a breakaway collar, so it doesn’t hurt her but she keeps losing her collar in the track. This probably won’t be an issue for all cats, ours just particularly likes rolling around and rubbing against things so it is her particular habits that cause this issue.Otherwise, it seems well built, fairly sturdy and not likely to tip over. I like that the base is a single piece, not a 2 half thing like many posts have. This makes it much sturdier. As for the toys at the top, the batting puff and the balls in the ring, it depends on the cat as to how much interest that will be for them. I thought my one cat would be more inclined to play with the toys as she is quite playful but so far she hasn’t shown a whole lot of interest in them. That said it doesn’t really hurt to have them their, aside from the collar catching issue.

This is a really neat little scratch post. It’s surprisingly sturdy considering the base feels really light, but all 3 of my cats (one small, one medium, one large) can scratch against it without it even lifting or threatening to wobble. I love the fact that you can put the dangling cross section on the top or in the middle, depending on your cats’ playstyle. Alternatively, it’s easy to switch up and therefore offer a new angle for an old enrichment item. The platform has ping pong balls that are in tracks embedded in the wooden base which adds interest to the scratching post. The sisal is attached well without any signs of glue or loose staples. It was easy to assemble in less than an hour with the included tools and instructions. It’s been a hit in my multi-cat household.

Right out of the box, they were curious and excited, and after a bit of playtime, it quickly became one of their favorite toys.It comes with a variety of interactive features:A recessed area with 4 rolling balls that spin around in a circular track, keeping them entertained for ages.A springy post with a fluffy lightweight ball they love to bat and swat.Several dangling toys with feathers and beads attached to the top, which really catch their attention and get them jumping.Not only is it fun, but it’s also a decent scratching surface, and it keeps them distracted from the furniture. The assembly process was straightforward, taking less than ten minutes. Throughout this, my cat hovered nearby, intrigued by the four feathered toys suspended from the top.Unlike some scratching posts that seem to cater to kittens, this 30-inch post easily accommodates a standing adult cat. Moreover, the base, measuring 13 by 13 inches, is crafted from a single, 1.3-inch thick piece rather than two anchored ones. This construction lends the post added weight and stability, minimizing wobble during vigorous use.Additionally, the wider base serves the dual purpose of providing further entertainment thanks to the two incorporated ball tracks. I have had very mixed experiences with scratching posts… usually the cats don’t have much interest and prefer their tree or (unfortunately) the couch. However, the dangling toys on this add a layer of enticement that has so far drawn in 3 of our 4 cats. Once they’re playing with the feather accessories they start scratching away.If your cat is unsure, a bit of catnip may help entice them too. My only potential negative on this is that the sisal is thinner than what I’ve seen before. It seems like it’s well weaved, so I’m hoping it remains durable. I did find it scratchy while I was assembling it. If it tears apart prematurely I will update this review.All in all, this is a great buy for most cats. The toys are a nice addition and the base is solid to keep it stable during play. Chances are your cat will like it too!
