The charge lasts a day roughly. It’s wonderful, keeps pets entertained for hours! Great if you work from home – your cat will not be bored! The biggest reason I was looking for a cattoy was for exercise and lack of boredom. It beats the laser toys too and even when it runs out of battery because the toy hangs lower, the cat can still play with it on their own without having the bounce feature.. It was a recommendation from a friend and I almost wannawant to buy another one just so I’ll always have one charged !Cats love it! I highly recommend this engaging toy!

If you have a skittish cat this may not be the right toy for it…
I have 2 cats. Please indulge me a moment with their backgrounds, as it may help you decide whether this is right for your cat. I rescued my male cat from outside at 3 days old. He was a feral, and unfortunately, his littermates had all died. I don’t think his mom was able to make milk for some reason. My second cat is a girl cat. I also rescued her from outside. I got her when she was about 3-5 weeks old, right before she turned feral.So with that being said, my male cat doesn’t like this toy. There is a small sound as the string winds around the spool. It scared him, and he ran and hid under the bed. The girl cat watches it as it flies up and down, but she doesn’t bat at it.However, if I manually swing the toy back and forth across the floor, she will play with it.I’m not faulting the product. It works just as advertised and comes with a lot of cool attachments. My male cat may get used to it and play with it later as he gets more accustomed to it.I’m just writing this review because if your cat is more on the skittish side, they may not like it. I should have introduced him to just the toy on the string first, before putting it in the doorway and turning it on.If he gets used to it and plays with it, I’ll update the review. It’s only been one day since I got it. My girl cat will probably play with it more. She gets zoomies early in the morning, and when it’s lying on the floor I think she’ll bat it around. If I have to play with her with it manually, that’s okay too. I’ll sit on a stool and swing it back and forth for her.I gave it 5 stars because it’s a nice toy that works great. My cats are just a little odd. My boy cat is really skittish because he’s a bottle baby.

Good for cats that play with toys
My cat won’t play with it. He’s not scared of it or anything just isn’t that interested in it. It’s hard to get my cat to play with MOST toys. Other than that, it’s well made, easy to setup and fits snugly over my door frames

My cats LOVE this toy. It doesn’t necessarily jump up and down in a crazy way, it’s more of a slower movement which is fine. It’s pretty durable considering it survived two cats trying to pull it off the wall. I like to use it for a few minutes before bedtime to help burn off some of that 3am energy. It seems to keep the pretty entertained for 10/15 minutes before they get tired of it. We did end up putting our own cat toy up there to have something that was more vibrant in color. It was worth the money for the simple fact both of my cats enjoyed it at the same time, which if you have multiple cats you know can be a rare occurrence. I would say overall it’s safe to use as long as someone is in eyesight, accidents can still happen but we’ve had it two weeks and no issues. Easy to install, it just clamps on the wall and is removed the same way.

Long lasting charge, cats love it. Came with multiple other attachment toys, their favorite is the green bird. Also comes with a little bell you can clip on too. As well as a charger. For those wondering if or will fit a support beam instead of a door frame, it is definitely large enough. I got an XL.

Fun while it lasted, but my cat destroyed it fast
My cat had a blast with this toy at first — it caught his attention right away and kept him busy chasing the feather. But the elastic cord didn’t last long at all. Within a day he managed to tear it right off, so now it’s basically unusable.It’s a great idea and super entertaining while it works, but it’s not durable enough for cats that play rough or like to bite and pull. Would love to see a stronger version made because it definitely keeps them engaged.

Best toy.
Easily one of the best cat toys. Just make sure to have it somewhere you can monitor and take it down or wrap the toy up so your babies don’t hurt themselves when it’s not monitored. This toy is safe but in general any string related toys should be somewhat monitored due to the tiny chance of strangulation. I’m still absolutely recommending this. I just can’t help but try and recommend safe use to other owners.

4 star because my cats do like it. It is very cheaply made, the clamps do clip on and hold well. I wish the string rolled up higher and that it had settings to be slower or faster.Edit:We changed the toy to a small mouse and it rolls up higher now which is great. However, this toy is like owning a sling shot!! Supervised use only in our house, someone could get hurt!

Our cat LOVES to play with this toy. It works really well and doesn’t need to be charged that frequently and even when you do charge, it doesn’t take that long. The elastic string also feels quite safe, and seems like there is a lesser likelihood of choking or the string getting wrapped/tangled around your cat because the elastic pulls away. I don’t leave it hanging without being in the room/keeping an eye on the cat while it’s on. Overall, great toy and can the system to clamp it on a doorway works really easily.

The cats are interested in it, but the first night, Presley “captured” the bird and tried bring it downstairs. It “flew” back upstairs and he was really excited. Now it won’t automatically go when the elastic is touched. He broke it on the first day. Too bad because it was a pretty exciting toy.
