Functional, but quality control and design issues are concerning
This dog treat dispenser is easy to assemble and does technically work, but there are enough issues that I can only give it 2 stars.The good:Easy to put togetherIt functions as a treat dispenserPrice is reasonable for what it isThe problems:The unit I received had some kind of clear coating or residue on the inside spinner that comes into direct contact with the treats. I couldn’t tell what it was, possibly lubricant, or something else, but it definitely didn’t inspire me to see that near food. I tried cleaning it, but it was difficult to remove and never fully came off. Because of this, I had to stop my dog from eating the treats.The bottom is smooth plastic, so it slides all over the floor unless you use the included PVC mesh. That mesh feels like an afterthought. This really should have come with pre-attached rubber feet to provide proper grip.Overall, the quality control feels lacking, especially for a product meant to handle pet food and for them to play with.Bottom line:While the dispenser is functional and affordable, the residue inside and the poor base design are serious drawbacks. With better quality control and a more thoughtful non-slip base, this could be a much better product. As it stands, it earns 2 stars for basic functionality, but it definitely needs improvement.
