    Gets the job done!
I installed this myself which is saying something considering I’m a 50 year old woman. The digging was made much easier after I used a 36” auger drill attachment to loosen the soil. I dug the hole with a post hole digger, put some drainage rocks in the bottom of the hole and set the dooly flush with the ground. Only problem I had was due to the soil where I live, it’s mostly sand and the hole kept caving in so I sunk a 8 inch drain pipe with holes drilled through sides down into the hole to shore up the walls. Next I added the water and the tablets that came with the product and it’s been working ever since! I haven’t had any problems with odor and each time I add a fresh pile of dog poop the previous one isn’t there. The product seems sturdy enough to do its job. I’m debating on moving it to a new location closer to my garden hose because it needs water to work properly and I believe it will hold up well if I do move itPretty cool product. I keep my garbage can in my garage and it doesn’t smell like dog crap since I started using this. I have one large golden retriever but she has friends over often who like to poop here so I use the product a lot.Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence deciding if they want to buy this, I’m glad I did!

    It works, design is meh
Small yard. Tired of bagging waste for the garbage and didn’t see the point. This works similar to a septic tank or old fashioned out house disposal. It’s great they include the enzyme packs and it isn’t hard to install. I’m lucky to have one of those electric augers. That made it a breeze to install. I have to say that I think it’s pretty flimsy in design. The thing is pretty thin plastic and it straddles the hole. It would have been much better to have been made of a thicker material or just one that wouldn’t crack easy. It would also have been nice to have attached a pipe that would have sat below ground a bit. Over watering one has already collapsed the sides. If it had a pipe extension into the ground, I doubt that would have happened. I do not expect the plastic to last long. Someone is going to step on it or weather is going to degrade it and I will have to look for another solution. It certainly has me thinking of a better one.

Eliminates having to separate and dispose of your dog/cats waste with some caveats
As other reviews state, the ease of use, cleaning, and size are really good. However, the sturdiness, the stability, and the inability to use bags causes some draw backs.Living in Phoenix, AZ most of the soil is a clay based with something called Caliche, or calcium carbonate mixed with clay. This it was very frustrating to dig in, and required some extra steps to make sure that this system would work. Also after digging the hole for the actual assembly was hard enough, then the directions stated to dig another 36″/3′ deeper. This was extremely frustrating and ultimately led me to take multiple days to just dig the hole.I have six dogs, as such just one was inadequate, I did ultimately but this one and two of the metal ones, (which I found offered a little better in product strength). The product itself is made from very thin and flimsy plastic which the lid is off the same caliber. The hinge and mechanism is also sub-par.Somethings to think about before buying this:Where do I plan to put this? Can I actually dig the hole deep.enough? What type of soil do I have?Do I plan to maintain this according to the directions? If you answered no, or the soil that you have is not compatible, I wouldn’t recommend this for you.As you read above, I did end up buying this and two other to satisfy the amount of dog dung that’s produced on a daily basis. I’m happy with the outcome, but it is another added chore that I have to add only certain amounts of feces, add a gallon of water to each canister, and do that on a daily basis to prevent issues/odors with each system. My main take away is 1 don’t waste my money on the additives you see listed on the other items section, and two the stability of the device made me place these systems easy away from pathways and potential areas that will cause the system to collapse.

    Works great!
I was concerned about the durability of it due to being all plastic construction, but ive had it for over a year now and its still holding up well.

Seems to Work – Cheap Build Quality
Pros:I guess it works. I dug my hole, installed and backfilled. After routinely placing dog doo in the disposal for about a week, I noticed it was staring to fill up. But then, a miracle happened, it leveled off. It’s currently about 2/3’s full and that’s about where it stays. So, my guess is the little poo eating microbes needed a little while to get going and are now doing my dirty work.I don’t keep it filled with water all the time, that’s a ridiculous expectation. But I do try to give it a good soaking about once a week. That seems to be working.Cons:As others have mentioned, the hole required is quite deep. Four feet below the bottom of the 16″ deep Dooley. I bought the cheapest post-hole digger HD had and went to task. Luckily, where I live the soil is relatively soft. But If I were back in AZ, it would have been a nightmare. The build quality is quite terrible. It’s extremely thin plastic. I had little faith in it’s ability to retain soil on its own, so when I backfilled, I mixed in a little portland cement with the dirt to help shore things up.I also think it’s pretty shady the company posts a diagram that’s intentionally mis-scaled. In the product pics, both the 48 and 16″ holes appear the same depth.***My Rating Criteria***Build Quality(47.5%) – 3.0 StarsEfficacy(47.5%) – 3.0 StarsPost-Sale Support(0.0%) – n/aPackaging/Presentation(5.0%) – 5.0 StarsWEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) – 3.1 STARS

Make sure you can dig a hole deep enough prior to purchase.
Keeps poo and poo scent out of my yard! If you have a lot of rock or limestone in your soil, this may not be for you. It took my a very long time to find a spot in my yard that I could get my auger to go through to get a hole deep enough. I ended up having to use a rock bar and hand dig while laying on the grass. Luckily I have long arms.

Total waste of money. Followed directions to the letter, poop did not compost at all. Large square hole just below ground level is useless poop just passes through it into deep round hole. Also square hole on top collapses when back filled with earth. Save your money just dig a post hole and put a small patio stone on top.

I thought by buying this I’d be more encouraged to pick up the poo, but nup it’s just some weird green lid in my lawn.Easy to install and the dig whole wasnt huge so phew I didn’t have to work to hard for that green lid.
