For chunky cats and litter chunks.
I am giving this cat litter box mat 5 stars because it works really well for my cat and my litter box situation. It has an ingenious double layer design that truly traps litter and it is a breeze to clean. It just works much better than other litter mats I have tried.I had some concerns about the durability of the EVA foam grid and water resistance. Those don’t affect me, but might be a concern for others. This might not be a 5 star product for everyone or every cat.Size:It’s a nice, big mat. I have a 20 pound cat and it fits his Jumbo XL, 20″x28″, stainless steel litter box. It exactly fits my hallway closet where the cat litter box resides. The foam is flexible enough to bend where the wall is uneven.Description:The gray grid is made of thick EVA foam rubber. It is thick enough to actually trap litter instead of temporarily corralling it until your cat disturbs it like some other mats do. It works much better than thinner plastic mats. The holes are big enough to hold large particles like clay litter or even plant based pellets. The soft materials will be gentle on cat paws.Cleaning:The bottom layer is a thin, vinyl coated cloth. The litter gets trapped between the two layers like an envelope. You can fold it to trap the litter and dump it. It is an ingenious design that works really well. I used to have a mat with a scruffy, plastic surface that clung to litter. Cleaning that created more of a mess than not having a mat.Materials:The materials have pros and cons. I keep my cat litter box in my hallway closet (my dude likes privacy). In that setting it is fairly protected. I have an extra large litter box that is bigger than my cat and slightly smaller than my closet. My cat doesn’t go outside the mat, or over the edge.In another setting the materials might be more of a concern. EVA, commonly known as foam rubber, is moderately durable. It is used for gym mats after all. But I think a determined cat, who likes to scratch, could scratch it up in an open setting.Water resistance:All of the materials are more water-resistant than waterproof. If leakage is an issue you might prefer a molded plastic or vinyl mat. The black layer on the bottom is a coated, plasticky fabric that might be nylon. The ribbon around the edge seems to be nylon ribbon. The EVA might develop cracks along bends. If it does it could soak in liquids. I only plan to spot clean my mat with a damp cloth. It might not hold up to getting truly wet if your cat has accidents or to the subsequent cleanings. It is easy to dispose of the litter when you clean it out and it should be easy to spot clean. But it might not do well with being scrubbed or submerged in soapy water.

Simple, Effective Litter Mat That Actually Traps the Mess
TL;DR:It’s a two-layer mat that catches the litter stuck in your cat’s paws so it doesn’t end up all over your floors. You shake it out, dump the litter back in the box, rinse if needed, and you’re done. Soft on paws, easy on cleanup, and it actually works.⸻I got this to go under one of our self-cleaning litter boxes specifically to deal with the trail of litter my cats manage to spread everywhere. The honeycomb top layer catches the litter that clings to their toes when they step out, and the bottom layer holds onto it instead of letting it slide back onto the floor. When it fills up, I just pick it up, fold it slightly, and pour the litter right back into the box. That alone saves a ton of daily sweeping. It’s also waterproof, which matters more than you think if you’ve ever dealt with accidents or damp litter. The bottom layer protects the floor underneath, and it stays put thanks to the non-slip backing. No bunching up, no sliding around when cats jump in and out.The EVA material is soft and flexible, so none of my cats avoid stepping on it (which is half the battle). Cleaning is easy, shake it out for daily maintenance, or rinse it under water if things get gross. It dries fast and doesn’t hold odor. It’s not glamorous, but it’s one of those boring household items that quietly makes life cleaner and easier.Disclosure:This review is part of Amazon’s Vine Program, which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for honest reviews (taxed as income). Excellent Size, Smart Design, and Great Value
This double‑layer cat litter mat has been a huge help in our high‑traffic litter box area. We have one box that our cats use constantly, and I’m usually sweeping up loose litter several times a day. The large 30×24 size makes a noticeable difference—it covers plenty of space and really helps keep the area cleaner with far less effort on my part. The mat measures exactly as described. It is easy for me to pick up and dump the loose litter back into the litter box.One of my favorite features is the larger holes on the top layer. We use different types and sizes of litter, and this mat catches all of them without any issue. I no longer have to worry about litter being too big to fall through. The double‑layer sifter design works well: the loose litter drops into the bottom layer, and we can easily pour it back into the box instead of wasting it.The material feels heavy‑duty, solid, and durable, and the mat stays in place thanks to the non‑slip backing. It was simple to set up—there were instructions included, but it was intuitive enough that I didn’t really need them.Considering the generous size and the thoughtful design, the value is more than reasonable. This mat has definitely reduced the amount of daily cleanup and keeps the litter area looking much tidier. A great choice for multi‑cat homes or anyone dealing with lots of loose litter.

No More Scattered Pellets!
I am so impressed with how well this mat works for my front-entry, covered litter box. I put this in a bit of a smaller space, so I actually have the litter box sitting halfway on top of the mat to make it fit best, but it has still captured every pellet caught on my cat’s paws. It has honestly worked beautifully from day one.The double layered design is a total game-changer. Instead of me having to constantly sweep up the floor and throw away good litter, the pellets just drop into the bottom layer. It makes it incredibly easy to just tip the mat and redistribute the litter back into the box, which is much better than wasting it. I’d imagine if you have the floor space to lay the whole mat out in front of the entrance, it would work even better, but even in my setup, it’s doing a fantastic job. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to keep their floors cleaner!
