Easy to build, seems sturdy
This just arrived today, but it arrived early and was so easy to build/set-up. My pup gets in and out just fine, but she did get a bit confused about the porch once we attached it. We love the window and the hinged roof that can be propped open, it is very functional for both summer and winter.

Great dog house!
I put this dog house together by myself (there was a fair amt of cussing involved). It would probably be better for 2 people to do this, but can be done with one person. The roof makes a massive mess so open the box outside if you can! Very sturdy! Has good insulation and my dog loves it! I put a heating pad inside for him because he sleeps outdoors. He has plenty of room!

Great doghouse! Worth the price.
Doghouse is tough and almost too big for my 20 lb energetic beagle and my 16 lb terrier. I blocked off part of the doorway with cardboard and bubble wrap the Doghouse came in. That’s what you see in the doorway. I taught them to use it by laying in there myself several times and letting them follow me on their own accord. Really very robust and the heating works great.
Wrangler retro are junk. Holes tore at back pockets after wearing twice –
Pain to assemble
Said 30 minutes assembly. Took me 3 days and several trips to the hardware store. Pain in the a** to put together. Directions are vague at best. Do not tighten anything before you are positive it’s in the right place. The fasteners are like lock nuts in grommets in the wood. If u tighten you gonna catch hell getting it apart. I got some self tapping sheet metal screws. Worked much better

Good quality easy to put together. My dog refuses to use it, due to door being to short.

It’s worth getting insulated.
Took me about an hour to fully assemble it. Wasn’t too difficult to put together, but I definitely recommend having a 2nd person there to help you since some of the parts are a little heavy. My dog Clark is a 52 Pound Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) and he’s an indoor dog. But anytime that we need to leave home for multiple hours… we have to leave him in the backyard since we don’t have a doggy door for him to freely go outside to use the restroom. When I bought this it was the middle of winter and it was getting really cold out. I invested in this product and I’m pretty satisfied with the outcome. My dog has never been a cheer, so I’m not entirely sure how it holds up to dogs that like to tear up furniture. It feels really solid though. The roof lifts up and has hinges that can semi-lock in the open position. The doggy door opening is definitely big enough for my dog to fit throughand he has a good amount of inside space fo be comfortable. The insulation seems to do its job decently. It’s good enough so that I don’t have to worry about him getting cold. If you’re looking specifically for one to keep your dog warm, get the version with insulation. The insulation covers some of the spaces between the wood, especially on the bottom of the floorboards. Since the dog house sits a few inches above the ground wind will blow underneath the dog house and through some of the wood boards from below, but the insulation helps to prevent that. I would buy this again for sure.

Warm and sturdy
The house is very well put together. Does well at keeping house warm. So far pleased…wait for winter and frigid Temps and we will really see. I bet will work well

Sturdy, but inconvenient to build
My over-all impressions of this dog house, once built, was mixed. I was impressed by the dog house liner, as it is almost completely one piece to fit the inside shape of the house, and a thick, cushioned material. The heating pad was also of good quality, and started working immediately after plugged in, keeping the house warm. I think it will keep out wind and rain decently, and it’s large enough for a mid/large dog (great for German Shepherd but maybe not much bigger, like a Dane or Bernard). That being said, while the interior lini g of the house was great, some of the wooden dog house itself was inconsistent.1) Small pieces were broken upon opening the package. Some of the wood is a VERY lightweight material, hence breakable and chewable. If your dog chews on wood, I would not recommend this particular house.2) Over half the assembly requires you to put screws in with no drilled pilot holes, so be prepared to drill it with an electric drill, or screw it in manually (a lot of wrist work, so not good for ease if that’s needed)3) Some of the holes that were drilled were too large/too small to fit the provided screws, so I had to improvise a albuy as I went.
