Great product! Works for me
This is my second purchase of this product. I have one for my 3 yo and 5 mo old Sheltie. I like that they buckle around the car seat and have the safety strap to secure to harness. I added pillows that I pulled out of cat teepees to help my small dogs sit up higher. With these seats my dogs have not experienced car sickness. One dog is 20 lbs and the other a mere 11 pounds. I like that this product holds 30 lbs so I will not need to purchase another product as the dogs since I do not expect my dogs to exceed 30 lbs.

Super Dog Seat!
This is a great solution for smaller dogs in the car – keeps them safe, out of the driver’s lap, and entertained by the view on short or long drives. My dog is about 12 pounds, and 12″ tall at the shoulder. He can sit up and look around, or curl up in the fleece inside the carrier to nap. This is installed on the front passenger seat, but easy to take off for a human passenger instead. Positioning for the dog’s view works best when the car seat back is in the most upright setting. Strapping goes behind the seat headrest and attaches to the carrier sides with strong metal clips. The carabiner that clips to the dog’s harness is powder coated steel, not lightweight aluminum – very solid! Outer and inner fabric is durable, and there’s a separate quilted fleece bottom pad inside the fleece liner that also can be removed for washing. I added more padding on the top edge, just inserted some layers of cotton batting between the outer synthetic fabric covering the frame and the fleece lining that wraps over the top edge because my dog likes to rest his chin on the top surface. The only downside is that the strapping that holds the carabiner can get twisted and shortened if the dog turns around a few times in the carrier, but my dog has figured out how to untwist himself most of the time.

Great and durable
We have this car seat that is 10 yrs old and has been used just about dailyIt’s showing a little bit of wear on corners so I am moving it to to our side by side Ranger and getting a new one for my new car and new pupThe old dog was 10 lb schnauzer and the new pup should be about the same

Best small dog car seat I’ve found
Purchased for my rambunctious 18 pound mini schnauzer. I give it 4 stars because it will not hold her up without a support underneath. However I found a square foam block that fits under it to support the seat and it works great! I attach the strap to her harness and keeps her in place. She can see out of the windows and it seems sturdy if we were to get into an accident. I use it in the front passenger seat.

Perfect seat for smaller, anxious pup
This is the third car seat I’ve purchased and I wish I chose this one first – honestly I was put off by the cost and thought there couldn’t be much difference between seats. I was wrong :)I knew I wanted an over-the-seat booster for my 13 lb rescue who needs to be able to see out the window to minimize her car sickness. This seat is small — it couldn’t likely hold a slightly heavier dog but not much taller/longer (my dog’s a chiweenie and is dachshund length with chi-height legs) — but very sturdy. The bottom is reinforced and frame is strong with durable fabric inside and out.My previous booster seat was deeper – with mesh sides – but I could never get it to not slant. It felt flimsy and my pup never fully relaxed. This seat is fairly shallow, but my dog can rest her head on the rim if she wants to sit down (rare for her). The booster is lined in cozy fleece, which is a definite benefit – and removable for cleaning! If you need a booster for a smaller dog, particularly one who’s a bit picky, this is my recommendation.

Best way to keep pups safe in the car!
I first purchased this car seat because traveling with my tiny Pomeranian puppy in my hand was getting exhausting and I wanted to make sure he was safe in the car — mission accomplished! I now have 3 pups and have purchased 2 more car seats. I don’t know where to start on how great this product is…. the colors are bright, inside texture is great quality, the interior liner is very easy to remove and wash as often as you want, the seat is so easy to set up (and works even if you can’t wrap the seat around your car seat, you can just lock the belt). If you have very small dogs like me, the buckle the seat comes with might be a little too much, but it is easy to customize the buckle part by removing the black buckle it comes with, and adding your own keychain ring + any kind of leash coupler for multiple dogs, no-tug bungee leash accessories, or any kind of leash attachment that is ~4-6” long. If your dog is small enough I would recommend putting the car seat up at about window height to make it easy for them to look out the window / prevent car sickness! My dogs also love to nap in their seats and it’s easy to get the car seat to be completely flat if you just decline your car seat. If your dogs are small like mine you’ll have plenty of space for toys, etc.I have the orange (skybox booster), blue (rover booster), and the red (heather booster). The rover booster doesn’t have a waterproof interior liner like the other two do — but it’s not a big deal at all. For $15 less, I’d say it is just as functional. The fleece liner and mat are more than enough to contain accidents. The only added convenience of the interior liner is to make the car seat usable without the fleece liner and mat it comes with, but if you have an accident you can likely just remove the mat and use just the fleece interior liner. I would perhaps get the heather charcoal gray one if I were to purchase a blue seat again (slightly better, but also $15 more), but the rover booster is an excellent cheaper option.Really couldn’t ask for a better product for small dogs riding in the car — especially for the reasonable price!

I like this car carrier for its quality and comfort for my little dog. I had read another review where one purchaser claimed that it saved the life of her dog in a very bad car accident, so I decided to get this one.Patience is required in installing it. Take it slowly and pay extra care with instructions given it’s for the security of your pet. The pad insert is added comfort and it’s so much easier to put our dog in the car now. I feel I have piece of mind because if we just had him tethered to the seat belt, I know he would be a distraction and possibly injure himself if I braked suddently. This is great. Kurgo is such nice quality too.

Our nervous rescue puppy was car sick every single time he went in the car after only a few minutes. Nothing seemed to work until we got him his ‘fox box’ & since then he has not been sick at all which is a huge relief as we travel a lot.The box is very well made & he jumps into it on his own & it seems to help him feel safe whilst giving him a view out of the window. It may not suit bigger dogs but is comfortable for our 5.5 kilo boy. Would most definitely recommend.

This seat is a comfortable ride for my 4 month old mini schnauzer, and a really convenient way of transporting a dog. I leave the booster attached to the back seat of the car at all times so that all I have to do is attach the clip to his harness and we’re good to go. He wears an easy walk harness which typically has the loop in front of his chest, but that won’t work with this seat. Fortunately, the harness can be flipped around so the loop is on his back instead, so that’s how he wears his harness when he’s riding in the car.The booster seat liner is attached with velcro, so sometimes when my puppy is bored he likes to chew on the liner and pull it into the booster seat, which hasn’t been a big deal so far. We replaced the supplied, huge and heavy carabiner with a smaller, lighter one. Another thing to watch out for – if you walk around the outside of the car, the dog may do a 360 in the booster in an attempt to follow you and may get tangled up in the harness (especially if he manages to lift a front paw over the harness when he turns). In the beginning this was an issue for my puppy. He’d get tangled up and I’d have to untangle him. Now I’m careful to only walk around the car a certain way. I’m not sure if the harness that is made to go with this booster seat would solve that problem.Overall, my puppy loves this seat. I usually throw a toy in there with him to keep him entertained. In the beginning I gave him lots of treats in the seat to make it a more positive experience. When the window by him is open, I’ll catch him throwing his head back to sniff the breeze. And sometimes I’ll look back and I can’t see him at all because he’s laying down, relaxing. At 4 months, there’s LOTS of room for him to lounge. I’m hoping he’ll still have plenty of room as he grows because this is a great seat.
