Heavy, high-quality dish that (finally) stopped my cat from vomiting!
I had almost given up on getting my cat to stop vomiting after wolfing down her dry food. I tried feeding her a tiny bit at a time, but that would only make her meow nonstop every couple of hours. Tried not feeding her dry food at all, but felt guilty about not giving her enough variety in her diet. Finally I heard about “puzzle” dishes like this one and searched Amazon. After reading the reviews I decided to give this dish a dry, and made sure to keep the packaging in case it didn’t slow down kitty’s eating enough. I was shocked when the dish actually worked as advertised! She hasn’t vomited since I bought this dish and now she can enjoy both wet and dry food again without any adverse effects. I feel good about that as she is an indoor cat and has fewer pleasure than outdoor cats.A couple of notes:-I was pleasantly surprised by the heavy, good quality of the dish. It’s easy to clean, too. Definitely seems like it’s dishwasher safe but I don’t mix cat dishes with human ones, so I don’t know for sure.-The swimming fish are a cute touch.-The only reason this dish won’t work is if you fill up the channels too high with dry food so that the cat is easily able to “skim off the top” in multiple places and eat at usual breakneck pace. Fill the channels evenly and not too packed with dry food.So glad to have found this product!

Stop cat vomit! Plate barriers slow down cat eating!
My one year old cat was wolfing down food as fast as she could and then throwing it up. I tried this dish and it has really slowed her down and stopped her regurgitation. It’s a win! I only feed dry food, so can’t speak to wet food. Very sturdy. Easy to clean. Ceramic’s better than plastic to prevent “cat acne” which I accidentally did to my cat years ago, so I stick to ceramic and stainless steel. I recommend this product. I did set it on top of a ceramic bowl to make it taller to also try to keep the line of her neck level with the food to help. Don’t know if it made a difference, but I’m happy with this plate!

Works great but wish it was a little deeper on the outside
Two of our three cats do the old scarf and barf, to combat this we were pulling them away from their bowls (or vice versa) periodically while they ate and it was not fun for either party. This is a much-preferred alternative!Pros:- Keeps cats entertained- Serves its purpose of slowing down eating- Ceramic is healthier than the commonly used plastic (search feline acne)- Sturdy and smooth, packaged well to prevent breakage during shippingCons:- Heavy, could be shattered accidentally if dropped- Not the easiest to clean but not too bad- Shallow sides make it a gamble to add water to your pet’s food without making a mess- I always get anxious that one of our cats will chip a tooth on this, lol

Can’t believe this helped our “crumb” cat
Our male cat would slam down his food like it was race to the point where he would throw up very frequently. We’d hear him taking massive bites and not chewing his food to get it down faster. The clanking of his teeth on this new bowl honestly was relieving considering how much of a change of pace it was.He’s no longer inhaling his food in record times and chasing away the other cats from their food. We’ve finally evened out the playing field from him and have noticed a difference in his eating habits. We haven’t cleaned up any undigested food since we purchased this. The golden feature of this bowl is the fact that some of the puzzle pieces are much taller than others. He can’t learn the tricks of this bowl by abusing his large jaw!The build quality of this thing is ridiculous too. It’s a super heavy ceramic bowl so he’s no longer running laps around the kitchen with it either. It’s too darn heavy for him to drive and chow down.

Hard to clean, heavy, not for all cats
I have to say that my cat hated this bowl. But then that is to be expected because it was slowing her down from eating too fast. She couldn’t eat out of it except by pawing at single pieces of food, getting them to fall out of the bowl and on the floor, and then eating them off the floor. I returned it because she eventually refused to eat from it at all.Still, the bowl was big (probably three times as big as the bowl your cat has now), sturdy, and really heavy. So it seemed well-made, but maybe not the best fit for cats (or at least not for all cats).

I think this is my favorite slow-feeding bowl that I have found. It’s hard to find slow-feeding bowls that aren’t made of plastic, silicone, or rubber-like material. So I was really impressed when I found this non-porous option to keep my cat from getting acne. Not to mention, the design is also somehow cute and chic. It doesn’t look out of place in the house.The bowl is pretty heavy, which does help keep it from moving around, but getting a little mate to put under it to keep it in place isn’t a bad idea. It’s really easy to clean. It also does help my cat “snarf-n-barf” less often. That is to say that because the bowl causes him to eat slower, he is less likely to have the digestive issues that lead to him vomiting up his food right after eating it. (Edwin, the cat in the video, has a problem of eating to fast and puking after meals.)This bowl has helped my cats digestive health, it looks very svante-guard, it is non-porous and east to clean. If you are thinking of getting a slow-feeding bowl for your cat, this bowl is definitely worth the price.
