Good Product When Used as Intended
I bought this collar for my small dog because it was the only one large enough in circumference while still narrow enough for his short neck. This collar works as advertised; it breaks away. However, I can’t recommend it for dogs. The amount of force needed to separate the collar is too light for a rambunctious dog. My two terriers love to play fight, and the little one’s collar is ripped off at least once a day or more. He always brings it back to me to put it back on him (he likes his bell), but he also likes to chew the plastic up first rendering it useless. So, I’m back trying to find another type of breakaway collar for him as I bought 3 of these identical collars and he’s gone through all three in as many weeks.PROS: Soft material and not at all stiffNice bell with soft melodic “ting, ting” (I started calling my dog “Ting TIng”)Breaks away easily which is nice for a CATCONS: Breaks away too easily for a rambunctious dogStill, I rate a 5 star because I feel it is a good product when used as intended. It’s my own fault I tried it on a dog and it isn’t appropriate. You can’t fault the product for that. If you DO decide to get one for a dog, remember not to clip a leash to it. With one pull the collar will pop off and you’ll be minus one dog.

It worked just as it should because it disappeared, but my cats came home safe.
It worked just as it should because it disappeared, but my cats came home safe. I have two outdoor cats for keeping the population of mice/voles/rabbits and other rodents under control. They are doing their job. But I noticed they were also visiting the neighbors. Despite living on 35 acres, they still want to go off of our property. So we decided that just in case someone thought they were a stray and would want to take them home, we should get collars to show they indeed have pet parents. Not only are they incredibly efficient hunters, they are very friendly and love to visit for short times before running off to hunt again. These collars are easy to adjust and we can write their names and our phone number on the collar if they are found or visiting. We go through a collar every 3 months or so.It is getting expensive replacing them, we are considering finding some sort of tracking device so that we can find the collar, but also know where they are going when they leave here. (I would be happy to receive any suggestions on any sort of device)Bottom line- This is a great little collar; easy to adjust and put on. It comes with a little bell which we originally took off as I didn’t want larger predators being able to find them at night- but after they caught a few birds we put it back on with a lobster clip so we can take it off at night. But they have also learned to move around without making the bell jingle (clever little girls).

    Buy a different Lupine collar
Lupine will replace your collar with no hassle at all when it starts to fray and fall apart. I’ve owned a lot of collars from Lupine, all but this style are excellent quality. I recommend lupine, but not this particular style. They last about 2 months before having to be replaced.

Looks great but frays & not comfy for kitty
***Update***I’ve had this for a few days and my cat has A) gotten his jaw stuck on the collar (didn’t break away), B) shredded it/frayed it and I had to snip loose strands daily, and C) scratched at the collar nonstop as if it itched like the dickens; it must not have been comfortable on him at all.It may look great, but it didn’t break away, it frayed, and it was uncomfortable.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is a thick, beautiful orange collar, looks wonderful on our orange/white cat! We just rescued our big boy a few days ago and needed an adjustable breakaway collar. This collar works great! It seems to be very good quality, and comfy.

    Awesome collar
Great color, looks even better in person. It fits my small indoor-outdoor cat really well, and the material is very durable. It was a little bit tricky to figure out how to adjust correctly at first, but you get the hang of it. We’ve had it for a while and my cat hasn’t managed to lose it yet. I’m usually disappointed with cat collars, but I’ve been very pleased with this purchase.

I really liked the concept behind this
I really liked the concept behind this, as well as the colour, the material and the quality of the product. It’s sturdy, features a quick release and a gorgeous colour. Having said that, my cat doesn’t like it; she scratches every time it’s on her and only stops when it gets taken off. I’ve now resorted to putting a slip over it so that it doesn’t irritate her, but it really doesn’t look as nice.

    Lovely cat collar for kutten
Just barely fits the 3 m kitten. I removed the bell with plyers. Got the cheapest yellow color. Very cute on our orange tabby with aqua blue Id tag. Quick release works well, very important for safety! Like that it’s recycled. Lupine is for real, they have replaced dog collars for me in the past!! Great company

best collars i’ve own. breakaway system is neither too easy to detach nor too strong to endanger the cat (my cats never lose them in the house, unlike other collars but one cat had indeed left his in the backyard near a fence when he was stuck). i like the fact that the textured fiber keeps it adjusted unlike some cotton collar which becomes loose in no time. and it sustains wear very well, my cats keep scratching her/his collars and this one still looks very good.

It lasted 5 hours before coming off.The breakaway was not solid enough.Don’t bother. Seriously.

El collar es muy resistente y el cascabel es pequeño, por lo tanto no hace demasiado escándalo y no le molesta a mi gato 🙂

Very nice collar. My biggest concern is the durability of the quick release catch. The cat goes out, comes in, goes out… several times a day, and the collar is removed when she comes in. It’s easy to put on, and to take off, and so far, it’s stood up well,
