Great texture and beautiful design
These lick mats are really well made and I love how they look. I got the coral and brick-colored ones and they go perfectly with my decor. They’re made of silicone so they’re easy to wash and the grooves aren’t too deep. They actually feel nice when you run your fingers over them so I imagine they’d feel good on a pet’s tongue too.They have little suction cups on the back which is a great detail. You can stick them to the floor or even a wall and they stay put without sliding around. That makes them super versatile and easy to use.I tried them with my cat even though they’re mostly marketed for dogs. He’s very slow to adopt new things and this was a brand new treat and a brand new mat so he wasn’t sure what to make of it. He gave it a little lick and then ran off but I think he’ll come around. He usually does. I’m giving him time to adjust and I’m hopeful he’ll enjoy it once it feels familiar.Even if he doesn’t end up loving it, I still think these are a great product. They’re pretty, practical, and a good value. You never know with pets what they’ll take to but these feel like something worth trying.

A BIG lick mat for bigger dogs!
We have some smaller lick mats for our small dog, but they don’t work for our bigger dog – no matter how securely we try to press the small ones to the floor, his licking power manages to dislodge them and he ends up pushing them under the furniture.The great thing about this lick mat is that it has a lot of real estate, and thus, more suction cups to stay stuck to the floor. It’s large enough to keep him busy for quite some time. I tried it with both peanut butter and applesauce, and both adhered well enough to the mat, but cleaned off easily (whatever he left on it, which wasn’t much) when he was done with it. I also thought the outdoor scene on the mat was cute, but I don’t necessarily think it enhanced my dog’s enjoyment of the mat, haha.This is a nice-quality product and my dog loved it, which is what really mattered to me. I would purchase another mat from this brand in the future.

OHMO Lick Mat for Dogs
I got this lick mat because I have a hard time keeping my dog still when trying to use a dremel on his nails. His vet recommended a lick mat to keep him distracted. This is a thick, heavy-duty mat! It sticks pretty easily to my stainless steel dishwasher and it doesn’t move unless I want it to. I love that there are different textures on it, and he is entertained with eating mashed up bananas and sardines long enough for me to do what I need to do. It also makes him less stressed which is a plus for both of us. This lick mat is also easy to clean with a little bit of dish soap and a scrub brush, or this mat can also be placed in the dishwasher.

Many other lick mats I’ve used in the past were also marketed to big dogs, but I have always felt that they weren’t truly big enough for large or extra-large breed dogs. Due to its large size, I feel the lick mat is finally suitable for large and extra-large dogs. My 90lb German Shepherd loves this mat. It is the largest sized lick mat I own. This is important because the average lick mat is simply not big enough to hold the amount of food I need for a large dog. I have to put down 2 or 3 mats. With this one, I can use just the one mat. I have also frozen the food I smeared on the mat and it took my dog 1.5 times longer to finish eating.This new nature design has a forest by the water in the mountains. The design is better than the average mat with a generic pattern because it is simply more fun to spread food on. I’m able to use my creativity to smear foods of different colours in the landscape of the lick mat. It feels almost like using a colouring book, but with food.This large sized lick mat is also appropriate for small dogs because you can space out the food or spread it thinly. Doing so will extend the length of time your dog is entertained eating the food.The bottom of this mat is entirely covered by small suction cups and firmly stays on my kitchen tile floor while my dog is eating her food.The grooves of this mat are deep enough to slow my dog down when eating, but shallow enough to be easy to clean using a brush in my sink. It can also be washed in the dishwasher if you prefer that.

I have been trying to find some easy enrichment ideas for my cats. I have tried the treats in a box of tissue paper but saw this and thought I’d give it a try.There are suction cups on the bottom of the mats so they stick to the floor but are easy to remove. This means your cat won’t be pushing this thing all over the place trying to get into the nooks and crannies.I actually was surprised by how much my cats loved these. I put them out and grabbed their favourite tube treats and squeezed it across and into the divots. They LOVED it. It kept them busy for a good chunk of time and they didn’t look up once.When they were finished, I popped them into the dishwasher (I was skeptical but it does say dishwasher safe), and they came out nice and clean! This is honestly a big plus for me because cleaning stuff like this can be really tedious to get all the grooves clean.The mats are pretty big so I’m sure they’d work for cats or dogs. This is only more of a plus because it means you can spread the treat all over to keep your cat busy longer. Love these mats and so do my cats.
