Well Worth Your Spend
I have two barn cats who were moved from a big horse barn, semi-feral, to a 1000 square foot rented house to downsized to a small 700 square foot apartment in a year and a half. They are wonderful cats with hearts so big and quirky bold personalities, but they are both under the age of 3 and are still very active. Being a student in grad-school it’s very hard to find time to play with them, though my boyfriend and I have done everything to make accommodations for them and make the house as much as their place as it is ours. That being said my boy cat has that “orange cat personality” and is extremely mischievous and it’s very easy to loose your patience with him, as loving and cuddly he is. I got this product to make them “work” for their food, specially choosing one in colors that they are going to see the best and it has been such a blessing in our home. It help stimulates the cat’s mind, gives them something to work on with all the little folds and spaces the foot hides in. For me I am taking time everynight to show them how to look under the ruffles where food gets trapped (they both have respiratory issues so it’s not as easy for them to smell the food) until they get more accustomed to it, and I also really like the fact that I can use this to allow them to have smaller and more frequent meals during the day too; the mat is designed for smaller animals and so you may have to portion out their meals on it more, but again, I like that because of the smaller but more meals/snack during the day that they continually pick at. I think it’s definetly helped and my cats love it when I get on the floor with them to “help” them find the food…I think they think I’m helping hunt with them or something or being a motherly figure in helping them get the food because they purr when I spend that time with them. It’s just such a great product all together and I wish more people had this for their pets; I wish I had gotten this product sooner and am thinking about getting another one of a different design to switch it up for them here and there.

One of the nicer snuffle mats with different types of hiding places
Great snuffle mat to keep my dog interested and busy for a little while. She loves finding her treats in this and there are plenty of places to hide them. It’s made of felt. The only problem is that it is floppy when I try to carry it over to the floor. I cut a piece of box to the same size and put it on there to give it support.

Well made and pup seems engaged
This product is well made. I put it on a hot wash when I received it and non of the colors ran. It was quick to air dry out of the washing machine. The first few times my 2lb yorkie used this she actually tipped the whole thing upside down to get the kibble out (!) but I think she’s beginning to realize the fun in not doing that. Overall happy with the product. She’s only a puppy so I’m just putting her kibble in there for now, but will try treats when she’s a bit older.

Easy, Fun activities for dogs
I think this is a fun activity for my dogs. My cat doesn’t really bother with it but it could be the treats. My dogs do find the treats pretty fast but again I probably need something smaller for them to be hidden better. They don’t really chew on the mat they just root around and search for the treats. It’s easy to clean I just toss it into the washer by itself on a light cycle and let it air dry or dry into low. It’s a pretty decent size too. I gotta let my dogs use it one by one so they don’t fight over treats, I could have gotten a bigger one but it’s cool, it still works.

Does the trick
I have only used this a couple of times since Christmas morning, so I don’t know yet how well it will hold up over time. But its does keep my pug occupied for a time. I bought it to take with me on the days I bring my pup to work – to ward off boredom, so we will see. It is a bit smaller than I expected ( but that would be my fault for not looking more closely before buying). I will say that my dog figured out rather quickly that she could pick it up and shake it to get the treats out! I don’t mind as long as she eats what she has spilled.
Beyond dissapointed. impossible to put togethe After for attempts by different people, we decided there was no way the in the picture and trying to return. It has been in the hassle. Also don’t buy this product. –

This Matt is only good for very small treats. The tabs aren’t big enough to allow the dog to really forage for the treat.I have purchased other meds on Amazon that are more challenging and sturdier.The entertainment value for my dog was poor and the man is not very sturdy. It’s made of thin felt. I don’t recommend this Matt.

Our Pomeranian loves it! She was a bit jealous of her sister’s larger mat, so needed her own. This one is the perfect size for a small dog. Easy to wash.

A beautiful snuffle rug that I thought she would find it great fun. Sadly she is too clever for her own good. She just grabbed it flipped it in the air and the biscuits fell out and she ate them within minutes.
