The litter box that gets the job done!
The one litter box really cleans itself! I’ve had three self-cleaning litter boxes so far for my two cats, this one is the one gets the job done! It’s designed to effectively clear pees and poops from the chamber, and the container is properly sealed so I don’t have to be reminded of the presence of cats litter, it runs quietly. But I have to make sure there is no litter stuck on the bottom once in a while to eliminate the buildup. I take out the trash bag once a week for my two cats. App on the phone works well so I am informed whenever I want to check on my cats. I’ve had the unit for three weeks now, so far I’m loving it.

3 days in and will update again in a couple of weeks!Super excited when this arrived at my home and right away ran into an issues . Before I even unboxed I scanned the bar code on outside of box that brought me to a blank page. Then after opening I scanned 2 more bar codes that were suppose to bring me to the pet cove app, they too directed me to a blank page. I then scanned the code on the litter box itself that only brought me to the pet cove store site. Annoyed I didn’t see any real directions on set up I searched on my Google play store for purrtek and no exact match so then searched pet cove and after scrolling down I found an app. Once installed the app I spent the next 2 hours configuring my wifi so that I could have 2.4 on my phone and to connect the litter box.The app is not helpful in the sense of helping with set up or how to use. It identifies the buttons on box but no explanation of what each button actually telling you what it’s use is for. For example the infrared sensor detection is by default off- does this mean it needs to be on to detect my cat? I have no idea but I always want the box to detect my cat to insure my cats safety so why would it be off..ever? I also have no idea on how to use the cleaning cycles, like if I have it set to clean every hour will it only clean every hour and not after my cat uses it or will it detect that my cat is in there if in the box 😳? Same with clumping feature, I have no idea how long it should clump for. I also don’t know if there is a way to have the app set for multi cat weights and my cats have similar weights but the app varies a tiny bit as it’s not exact when I see my one cat go in 3 times in the matter of a couple of minutes the weight slightly changes and I don’t know if both are using it.There are no instructions on how to disassemble to clean or how to get the litter inside so I made the mistake of just pouring into small opening so I spilled a ton onto floor and now I pour into a cup and pour into box that way but that can’t be how it’s done so I’m either a little behind technically or this could use some improvements but instructions with more explanation of how to use would be helpful to know how to properly use the machine.As far as as changing the bag it is simple and main function of the box is good. I haven’t smelled anything which is quite impressive as my cats have the stinkiest poops ever.Will update soon!UPDATE, AS PROMISEDHave now had the litter box a couple of weeks and have worked out some of the issues on my own by playing around with it. I figured out how to take the drum out to fill litter and clean out. There is a latch on back that isn’t as obvious as one would think at least not to me. Customer service is super important when making a large purchase or really any purchase and I was contacted very soon after my initial review letting me know that they will gladly help me to understand the machine so that I can use it correctly and to it’s potential therefore making my life easier which is why I purchased. I was kind of annoyed because I felt like I was being told that if I wanted help with the problems I put in my review then I needed to ask which to me was pretty clear that if you know the issues I’m having then yes please send me the guides I need BUT in the last response I was informed that was Amazon’s policy that I can contact the seller but the seller needed to take certain steps to reach me to not violate policy through Amazon! Anyways PetCove has been very responsive and has even refunded the purchase in hopes that I will continue to use the product that they are confident in and hope that I can spread the word.In all sincerity I actually am liking the auto litter box. It’s pretty basic, not complex and does exactly what it is supposed to do! I just wish it came with clear instructions or any instructions! Customer service is top notch! Product is very good!

Pros – great for multiple cats, can go a week before changing the bag. Easy to put together. Price point is not bad in comparison to other models. I love the convience of the of litter box.Cons- the hole for the cats to enter is a bit small for my larger cat and she won’t use it. I wish it came apart for easier cleaning. If not cleaned well it will smell.

So far 5 stars!!! The 1st unit we bought was damaged and didn’t work…returned it with no issues and ordered a 2nd. This one works fantastic! Setup and ready to use in less than 10 minutes! Both large cats had no problems using it and it cleaned perfectly! App works great as well!!! #HappyCatMom Cats are happy too!

I was so excited to receive this automatic cat litter box. I literally met the UPS man outside to get it. I was that excited. The first use was easy to set up. It’s smaller than I expected. The cleaning cycle is fairly quiet and the cats were interested in it. However, the unit runs a deodorizing cycle after the cleaning and it is extremely loud. You can hear it throughout the house. It scared the cats. It wakes up the kids. It’s actually pretty obnoxious. I contacted the company immediately the next day and received a prompt response. No solution yet to the problem but they are sending me a video on how to take the unit apart. I will update my review if the problem is resolved and I don’t end up sending the unit back by the end of the week. It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to an affordable automatic cat litter box, but at this point, I’d rather go back to scooping .UPDATE #1 August 2024: after going back-and-forth with customer service we were unable to resolve the noise problem so they sent me a new unit. The new unit is whisper, quiet and works perfectly. I can honestly say I was very happy with customer service. Since we had a new unit, my son decided to take apart the loud unit and found that the fan is a very cheap piece of plastic that was bent. Oddly, this fan is located in its own separate plastic box that has no connection to the drum itself. We are wondering what it’s supposed to be fanning? Either way I’m happy with how much quieter this new unit is.UPDATE#2 SEPTEMBER 2024So I’ve had a chance to really use this automatic litter box for sometime now. I will say that I would give the customer service five stars, but this box is less than desirable. The first problem is that urine leaks out the back and out the front and I have included pictures. Perhaps it’s the way my cat pees but either way it makes quite the mess. Also, because the gray mat does not form a complete seal on the inside when my cat pees, if it hits the side of the drum, it rolls underneath the mat as well as the cat litter and this forms a concrete like substance that is extremely difficult to remove.. I can understand now why the unit smells because urine has leaked out the back as well as out the front. You can find the urine underneath the drum itself along with litter that has fallen out the front. I have tried to use the litter guard but I believe when the cat is pawing the litter it pulls the guard right off into the drum and it ended up in the waste bag. It was buried in cat waste. It was absolutely disgusting. Now in order to wash the unit, when you take it outside it is not easy to hose out. The small opening has a rim and that makes it difficult to get water and litter out of it. FYI the litter does not completely empty when the drum rotates to change out all litter. It is very difficult to scrub the inside of the drum because the opening is small. I can tell you I was completely frustrated, angry and annoyed cleaning this product. It took me so much more time than to hose out a regular litter box. Just to be clear, I change the bags every three days and I wash the bin weekly. I don’t allow this to sit for a long time to become extra dirty and I would expect cleaning it should be a simple task. I assure you it is not. I have included photos of where the problems are. Again I will say the customer service is outstanding but their automatic litter box needs some redesign. I would not purchase this product again. I’m happy to say I got it on sale for $270 But I’m also sad to say I am out $270. I hope this helps and I hope that they will fix some of the problems with this automatic litter box.UPDATE #3 October: I’ve lowered to 1 star and would be really happy to give it a negative star. This will be the last update as I have cleaned it for the LAST time. Probably more mad today because it just took a total of 40 min to clean the drum, mat base and the floor around it. To add insult while hosing off the concrete litter stiuck to the bottom of the drum, a lovely splash of litter water ricocheted onto my face!! My arms and legs are covered in nasty litter box water! I am done with this POS!!

I’ve been using this robot cat litter box and I’m really happy with it. I did have a small issue with my first unit, but the customer service was amazing—they responded right away and replaced it with a brand new one. The new unit works perfectly, it’s quiet, keeps the smell down, and has made cleaning so much easier.I really appreciate a company that stands behind their product and treats customers well. Highly recommend both the litter box and their excellent service!

I had some issues with my skittish cat that had nothing to do with the litter box and Gaby (from customer support) was excellent at resolving my issue. I am updating this review because of customer service being incredible. They reached out to me and offered a full refund plus a full replacement product.! The new litter pan is working properly and customer service was outstandingI wish I could give this zero stars. I followed the instructions to a T and the bag always seems to kind of fall out and poop falls everywhere inside the lid. So you have to scoop it out of the lid and into a garbage bag. I have a very low tolerance for bad smells and that’s why I like this kind of litter pan to begin with. After vomiting approximately 10 times trying to get it cleaned out I decided I’m just going to return it. It also does not connect to the Wi-Fi and app properly and I’ve tried several times and two different phones. The fill light does not come on when it’s full. Also, the lid does not close properly when changing the bag you have to completely slam it shut and even then there’s still a gap I’ve had it for three or four weeks now and it has been nothing but a huge pain. Now the problem is to send it back. I have to take it to my post office. As a wheelchair user this is an extremely hard task for me to do and I have to rely on someone else to take time to do it for me. Amazon usually does a pick up if there is a problem with an item and I never suspected it. I’d have to try and log this to Canada Post. Highly do not recommend wasting your money on this I wish I had thought to take a picture of the inside, but I just took this after I done cleaning up 99% of the mess. .

Very disappointed with this. Product arrived and obviously was used. It was not packaged properly (not in a protective bag and the styrofoam packing was broken) and there was a paper with a return notification in the box from a previous buyer. There were stains and a few small crystals on the interior and small scuff marks on the outside. It smelt like it had been recently cleaned. It also did not include any bags (was advertised to include 3 rolls of bags).

The litter robot itself is good, but it does not send me any notifications through the app. On several occasions, the robot got stuck for unexplained reasons, and I was not notified on my phone. As a result, my poor cat had nowhere to go to relieve himself for several hours.
