Truly a worthwhile outdoor cold-weather cat shelter
I bought the smallest size (S) shelter and was pleasantly surprised.I have used 2 of these shelters to help abandoned cats in a nearby park in cold weather.For the price, this shelter is an excellent buy. it is light and portable, and assembles in 1 minute or less. It is insulated from the cold, and the cats’ body warmth helps keep the shelter a reasonable temperature in winter. I like the black color which keeps it from being noticeable to other people when set in woods or foliage.I set one up for a cat last winter and I would occasionally walk out to bring it food- it would be in the shelter keeping warm.I made 2 changes to the shelter. I put a heat reflective cat bed in it to help keep the cat warmer. I also put a couple of fist-sized rocks in the inside corners of the shelter to keep the shelter from blowing away in high winds when the cat wasn’t inside (the shelter is light in weight). It comes with 2 ‘tent pegs’ to help anchor it, but I felt better about having slightly heavy rocks weighing it down.User tips for strays and ferals-When setting up this shelter, I keep a few things in mind. You can carry the disassembled shelter in a typical plastic grocery bag to the location you want to set it up at. I put a bowl of cat food in the shelter so the cat gets inside to eat and realizes this is a nice crash-pad. When I set it up I make sure not to put the shelter in low-lying areas where water might pool. I put it next to a decent-sized tree so that if the cat has to jump out if a predator comes by the cat can climb the tree to safety. The tree offers more cover to keep the shelter hidden as well. Make sure you face the open door away from the prevailing winds in your area. As I mentioned before, I put a couple of fist-sized rocks in the corners to help weigh it down in storms and high winds.Overall this is a great shelter, especially for the price. I am buying a 3rd shelter to use. Recommended!

Rabbits Like It Too!
Easy to set up,Easy to clean! This made a FANTASTIC nursery for my rabbit mom and her 4 newborns. The heat retentive properties of the interior kept the babies warm and comfortable for the first crucial 2 weeks. The removable bottom is machine washable, a great pet house! See for yourselves, they loved it!

Warm but not very sturdy for multiple kittens.
It isn’t very sturdy- keeps the cats warm so that’s good but the sides tend to buckle. I’ll have to add cardboard inside to firm it up. Still, it’s a good product for the money.

Use it Indoors only in my opinion
Not going to be good outside. I think these are perfect for the feral barn cats to have a cozy place to curl up and hide, I may even agree that they will stay warm in there though I also put a price of old carpet underneath it and a blanket in it for added protection from the cold garage floor. I think it is very misleading to act as though this is sturdy. A few inches of snow and it would collapse. A strong wind and it would be in your neighbors yard. Speaking of… one came with 3 cheap plastic spikes to hold it down if it were outside and the other came with none. If your going to put this outside I hope it’s under cover and/or you don’t get snow, and you get your own metal spikes. You get what you pay for, $27 is fine if it’s in s barn, garage, or home but for what it claims it should be like $15 max

Easy assembly & off centered single door
Very easy to assemble and I appreciate the door opening being off center, that was a big selling point for me. This is on the smaller side, but can definitely fit a single cat around ~12lbs. I do not think this would be sturdy or thick enough to leave out in any unsheltered elements and should not be placed directly on the ground. We are using this on our covered & sheltered porch. We have a neighbor’s cat that we worry about as he is often on our porch throughout the night and in all kinds of weather (yes, we’ve spoken to the owner) and we feel better knowing we have this just in case. I would say it does appear to have decent insulation & was easy to clean before we put this out. It’s not as thick, insulated, or as good of quality as a permanent feral cat house. For the price and our purposes this will be just fine.

Inexpensive cat shelter.
A cheap, effective effort to house ferals in the cold. Very flimsy but sets up in minutes and time will tell if it is comfortable for cats.
