Easy to use
Easy to attach to its post; seems sturdy; finishing is uniform; top seems secure and strong. Good choice for our small community’s park area. Can is easy to use and just the right size.

Not easy to install. Need 2 people and screws.
Arrived quick and Very sturdy. Mounting was a bear, because they only send bolts and nuts to mount on a steel post thru holes in it. Mounting mine on a 4×4 post was a challenge, but either way you must be a person with super stretch long arms, tiny shoulders and a long neck that allows you to reach in to the can to get bottom and middle screws mounted. You will need 2 people to install. One to hold in place and one to add screws. This can is not only heavy, it is difficult to lay on a flat post. The can, being round, naturally wants to roll off as you are trying to mount it. What would make this way easier and a quicker install is to give you a mounting plate that installs 1st, then locks can on once the plate is in place. No more reaching in to mount it. Which by the way, blinds you from being able to see what you are doing. A very frustrating install, which is why it lost a star. Minimum change is the mounting screws should be included for those being mounted on a wood post, not just the flat head bolts and nuts, so the install is versatile.

I realized after purchasing the cheapest which was the best for me in my situation the gauge of the metal is not like the $300 ones but it shows to be a true working unit the hinges will go eventually but it’s metal

Was kinda hard to find a post…but we like it
When we did finally find a workable post to mount this to, we installed it and we like it a lot! Much better than running to the garage all the time for disposal. We live in the Pacific Northwest and it, so far, has handled the rain like a champ. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Rusting already
I purchased this a couple weeks ago and it’s already rusting where the handle attaches to the top. It looks like the painting in that area is insufficient.

OK item, but less rugged than desired
Decent item, wish the metal gauge was a bit thicker. It is fine now, but will probably rust faster than it should, like the one it replaced.

Details in ad are incorrect.
There is a problem with the listing. At one area it says that it is made of aluminum. In another area it says that it is galvanized steel. What is it? I received the product and it is NOT aluminum.
