So Happy I switched to this box!!
I used a different brand, drum type self cleaning liter box for the last year. I found it difficult to clean and did not contain smells. Switched to this box and I am so happy I did, Plus my cats are happier. No more sticking their heads into the smelly container. My 2 cats have much more room to move around and took to it as soon as i had it set up. They actually couldnt wait to jump in.Setup was so easy and emptying the tray is too. The box cleans the liter very well and is super quiet. I have not setup the app on my phone yet, so I can’t speak about that, but even without it, I am delighted with this box’s ease of use and function.

Updated Review: Great budget friendly machine
I recently received the Purrtek Light automatic litter box for my cats.The machine came fully assembled and was packaged well. I had it set up in about fifteen minutes.It is really quiet. Also, the picture they are using on Amazon, does them no justice. It makes the litter tray look small and it is not. I have three indoor cats ranging in weight from about nine to fifteen pounds, and all 3 have plenty of room inside the box.In the 24 hours I have had it set up, all 3 cats have used it. Even my cat who is scared of anything new and refuses to use my Litter Robot 4.It has multiple safety features that I have checked out and they all worked properly, and it even comes with an app with basic functions. The app was super easy to connect.I was quite impressed to find out that the litter tray actually disconnects from the box for easy cleaning. Also, the waste drawer is in the front, which makes for easy access. The low front will make it easy for your cat to get in, and the high sides will help keep the litter where it belongs. And who doesn’t love a lifetime warranty.Nothing is ever perfect and the only issue I see with it is the waste container could be larger. My cats give it four paws up.UPDATE: After a few days, I started having the same issue as another reviewer, my cats are diggers and were creating walls of litter in the box. Because of the safety feature, where the cleaning arm stops if it encounters too much resistance, it was no longer able to do its job, due to the weight of the litter. I was very frustrated, resetting the box multiple times a day and was ready to throw it out, when I decided to try lightweight litter in it. I purchased the arm and hammer hardball litter, and it has worked flawlessly for over a week now. Very happy with this machine and my cats still love it. Definitely a keeper!

A good device with potential for improvements
Overall I like the litter box, good price, easy to clean, and simple design. We have a very very picky cat that refused to use the other two litter robots, but he was able to accept this box right away given the very open top design, which is a huge plus.We do have a couple of issues with the box: 1. The clay litter will stick and form a paste on the bottom of the box and form a muddy puddle if the litter is too low, or get stuck if litter is too high, we use fine grain corn litter fixed the sticky issue 2. The app has room for improvement: I wish it report the time stamp when my cats visit the box, I wish it push a message to me when the box get stuck at error mode so I can go fix the stuck situation, I wish it tells me when waste bin is full.

Rough Start, but ended up a Winner!!
This is the FOURTH ‘self cleaning litter box’s I’ve tried, and this one’s the winner. Initial rough start, but Tech Support (via text, best route) sorted that. What’s Great:1) Open Top plus Good size: Much safer, especially for skittish cats; or done-based / ‘spin-based’ options = controversial cat safety (Google it)2) Double Pass ‘Raking’: Raking is better than the ‘dome based spin’ ones (which basically sift clumps & put into bin. As we all know, the moister clumps will stick). Raking systems are better & Purrtek Light will do a second pass to dislodge & dump any clumps that it ‘skewered’ on the 1st pass.2) Nice Size dump bin, easy to maneuver for cleaning.3) Infrared Sensors Good, including on raking component i.e. raking will stop if it detects motion (works well)4) Extremwly quiet & slow – which is very good! My meek/skittish kittens are not afraid of it at all!5) Raking prongs are silicone covered except for tips, nice touch.6)East to take apart & clean plus option to add a cover (not my preference, open top is safest as ‘last resort / cat can jump out’ optionThe Not-So-Good (but not enough to remove a star):1) The app for the Purrtek Light vs the newer dome/spinner models is neglected a bit. Hello, some of the menu options are in Chinese (!!) Once I worked with Support I got it to work for exactly what I need. But would love to see the same level of sophistication for the app across all Petcove models, especially since this open top raking system is FAR superior to the 3 others I’ve tried.Overall, HIGHLY recommend this & I hope it holds up over the long term.

Good automatic litter box
I have been using this cat box for 2 months now without any issues. I needed an open top box and there are many to choose from. Most automatic boxes are enclosed. This on cleans reliably. I have 7 cats and this box is used more than my enclosed boxes. I empty the waste bin every 3-4 days. Very happy with my purchase. Would by again.

ATTENTION ALL CAT PARENTS!!
I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to buy this. This automatic litter box is a straight-up life saver. No more daily scooping, no more holding my breath every time I walk past the litter area, and no more guilt when life gets busy. It does the dirty work for me, and it does it well. I literally change the bag once a week and I can’t smell the liter until I open the back to take out the bag. Easy peasy…. Put in another bag and it’s done! Seriously saves on so much liter too!My cat adjusted quickly (which honestly shocked me), and now it’s just part of our routine. It keeps everything cleaner, fresher, and way less stressful.
