Good protection against bugs
My dog has epilepsy and his neurologist recommended me to use a flea and tick collar most oral products cause seizures in seizure prone dogs. I couldn’t stand the thought of him breathing poison and it last for 6 months. I did research and found this product. I also bought an agate necklace for bug protection that he wears on hikes as well as the spray. So far no ticks and fleas and mosquitoes don’t land on him so something is repelling them. Since it is herbs I don’t worry about washing it off. I just brush him out.

Works Well and Smells Nice
This works really well but does have to sit on their fur for 5-7 minutes to properly kill the fleas. I found it easiest to bathe my dog outside with the hose and let her run around for the 7 minutes… doing it in the bathtub is really hard because her legs would still be submerged in water. Overall would recommend.. nice peppermint scent as well.

The first bottle of SKOUT’S HONOR: Flea + Tick Dog & Home Spray was a dream come true. It smells good, my dog didn’t mind me spraying it on him, and it WORKED. We would spray a mist of it on his feet, and there were definitely less ticks on him after a walk. Then, the bottle ran out. We bought a second bottle, and it wouldn’t spray. Just shot out in a stream. The directions say to “lightly spray their entire coat”. You can’t “lightly spray” with a jet stream. We got a third bottle. Same thing. I contact Skout’s Honor directly and told them I love their product, but the new bottles won’t “spray”. They told me in repeated emails that it is made to delivered in a stream. I commented that my first bottle sprayed, the nozzle shows an option of stream or spray, and the directions say to “spray lightly”. I don’t know what is going on with them now, but they have made the product unusable. I tried spraying some on a cloth and wiping it on my dogs’ feet and legs. Bad idea. Clumpy, sticky – just a mess. Then I had to clean the dirt off of his legs that stuck to it. This is very unfortunate, because it was a good product that worked, but now there is no good way to apply it. Time to move on to something else.

Change Packaging Method Please!
Product came in timely manner, but despite the manufacturer packaging 1/3 of the content of the shampoo had leaked out. Perhaps taping the lid shut might be better than a plastic bag.
