This slip leash has proven to be more reliable and easier to use than other training leashes I’ve owned. I’ve used standard clip leashes and harness setups in the past, but this slip-style design offers faster control and better responsiveness, especially during short walks or training sessions. The nylon rope feels thick and well-made without being stiff, holding its shape and showing no signs of fraying. It inspires confidence when handling a medium or larger dog that may pull.The slip design provides effective no-pull control by tightening just enough to give clear feedback without feeling harsh. I noticed a reduction in pulling almost immediately, and walks felt more controlled without the need for constant corrections. One of the biggest advantages is how simple it is to use—there are no clips or buckles to deal with, and it slips on in seconds, which is especially convenient for quick outings, training drills, or dogs that don’t tolerate harnesses well.The rope is comfortable to hold and doesn’t dig into the hand, even when the dog pulls unexpectedly, so I never felt the need for a padded handle. The 6-foot length provides a good balance, allowing enough freedom for movement while still maintaining close control when needed. Well constructed lead, but shouldn’t have a knot
I have used slip leads for nearly 30 years because I think there’s no easier way to train and control a dog while walking. My past two slip leads were similar to this one but had a foam core–which I did NOT like. Those tend to get stinky. This one is solid though and is very well constructed. It’s easy to use too, you simply slip the loop over your dog’s head and slide the stopper up so it can’t be slipped out of. The color is nice and most importantly the value is excellent. For $10, this really is a fantastic deal.My biggest complaint is that it’s not fully functional how I’d like it to be. The correct way to use a slip lead is not loose around your dog’s neck like where a regular collar sits. Rather, you should bring this up right behind their ears and high on their neck, just under their jaw–like a show dog. That keeps the rope off their trachea and you don’t risk harming them and they’ll never choke that way either. This particular slip lead comes with a knot tied into the loop to prevent choking. This is absolutely unnecessary when the lead is used properly. The knot is pretty bulky, too and cannot be undone without removing the stopper further up the leash. I’m inclined to do that because the knot really gets in the way of properly using this lead, and my dog does not like it. Additionally, the knot keeps loosening up so it adds to the bulk and discomfort even more so.

This leash has been great for walks and training. It’s really sturdy and feels secure, but still comfortable to hold. I love that it works as both a leash and collar, so it’s quick and easy to put on. The adjustable design helps with pulling without being harsh, and it feels well made for everyday use or outdoor adventures. Definitely a solid choice for most dogs.

More than training
My dog doesn’t wear a collar most of the time. This is a fantastic leash to grab when I want to take my boy on a quick golf cart ride, and I don’t feel like digging out his collar. The rope is thick, durable, and feels comfortable in my hand. Overall, great leash for the price! I would definitely purchase another if I had a second dog.

Great Leash, strong material, quick on and off!
This leash has been a welcome addition to the puppy routine. It’s quick and easy to get on the dog, and quickly adjusts to his neck size!Quality: the strap is thick, and has been very durable. The dog likes to chew on anything and everything and has chewed super quickly through the flat strap leashes. We’ve tried this out for several weeks now and it has held up nicely.Length: this seem like the perfect length for everyone in the family. It gives a generous lead while still maintaining control over the dog.Ps. Just be aware if you dog pull on leashes it self tightens the harder they pull…I fell like that’s all leashes and collars though.

Preferred type of slip leads by our animal control officers
When I brought this leash into the animal shelter where I work, other staff wanted to take it away from me! We have many slip lead types of leashes with which to walk the dogs so that they get a break from the kennels along with some exercise. But these are special! Made of a wider diameter of about 1/2”, the webbed nylon is super strong! At 6’ long is a great length for both walking and training. I would consider them heavy duty for sure. Mine is lack and hides any dirt.Slip leads are great when most of our dogs aren’t wearing collars back in the kennel area for their safety. With this leash, no collar is necessary. It’s easy to slip over the neck of our larger dogs who would resist fastening a collar anyway. Easy on/off and adjustable. Between the nylon knot and leather stopper, your dog won’t choke and certainly isn’t going to break this leash! It’s a great value and comes highly recommended by high recommended by our animal control officers!!
