Great collar…. peace of mind makes it worth the price.
Its not cheap but I’m loving the peace of mind this collar provides. I can draw fences anywhere and my girl learned quickly how it all works. Around my house I have a “home” fence that keeps her in the yard and a “walk” fence that I change to when we are doing off leash walks so I feel confident that she will not run into the road or get too far away if she runs off. Its been very durable and I like that its easy to clean red clay mud from. She has taken the hit a few times but the collar has always worked as set.

Great Product with Great Customer Support!
This is a very well-engineered product with exceptional customer support. It has a lot of useful features built into the collar, and many options that the dog owner can set for him/herself via the free mobile phone software app. I have had some questions regarding this GPS collar that I submitted to the SpotOn team, and these have been answered both promptly and accurately.I ordered the collar on 12/23/2024 and started training my male Siberian Husky (i.e., Skye) shortly thereafter by following the free training instructions provided by SpotOn. Due to the winter weather here in central Alaska, I was not able to train my Husky on a consistent daily schedule. However, the day did finally arrive when Skye appeared to have reached the point where he recognized the warning signals as he approached the GPS/virtual fence border, resulting in him returning to the “safe” area back inside the fence. It certainly was a very happy day recently, for both Skye and myself, when I released him from the cable he had been tethered to for 10 months of his life. He now can roam about my property w/o restrictions, and investigate all the “doggy places-of-interest” in the past that he had been unable to reach. The SpotOn collar, in my opinion, is the very best on the market. One can set up multiple GPS fences with no limit on the maximum size, and the fence can be designed using the mobile phone app (which includes a map) without the need to walk the intended fence line. The collar provides protection for one’s dog right out of the box without needing to purchase the available phone subscription. However, once one reviews the additional SpotOn Fence Collar features provided by the phone subscription, and notes the very reasonable price for this subscription, I am confident that many will also decide to subscribe to these additional features just as I did. Some of pictures of Skye are attached. These were taken minutes after I had released him from his tethering cable.

Highly recommend
My dog LOVES to wander off and this has been the best purchase I’ve made for him. Easy to set up and use. Being able to set up multiple fences anywhere we go is amazing. He is a stubborn as they come and the shock is powerful enough to keep him where he’s supposed to be. Very heavy duty collar and fantastic quality.

GPS Wireless Dog Fence Collar
Product worked great for 6 months, then GPS quit working. Only needed setting on 10 at first. Dog never went through boundaries, but then after about 6 months dog started going through boundaries every day. Tested settings on myself and went all the way to 30 and nothing would happen when going past borders. The collar wouldn’t even vibrate or set off warnings like it did when we first bought it. Had a friend who bought one and stated same thing happened to them. When contacting company, they wanted subscription in order to make it work. Bad advertising when stating subscription not needed. Definitely, not worth the money we paid for this product.

Perfect! Worth every penny
I know this thing is a bit expensive. I have wasted money on cheaper GPS collars, and after too many bad experiences with a lost puppy and a failing GPS tracker I decided I must get the best available collar for this one dog, Billie, who is not satisfied with just the 20 acres of land she has to play in. After many hours watching youtube reviews on collars, i settled on the SpotOn. After several months using it, i am 100% satisfied.Setup wasn’t too difficult. I think watching youtube videos prior to getting the device helped my understand what to expect with the setup and training. Highly recommend investing some time with that for anyone getting this collar. Especially when accounting for GPS drift, which is a limitation of GPS technology not the collar itself.I tested the collar on myself before starting to train Billie to it. The GPS is more accurate than I’ve observed on other collars. The audio notifications are immediate, and the app notifications are very fast. Within a couple seconds or less. The app also keeps track of any time the collar crossed the boundary and give you status on the event like time out, time back in, how far they traveled, and tracking information on a map.The app provides a training program for teaching your dog to the fence boundary. My daughter is a professional dog trainer and confirmed the program is good. So I went with it. Billie picked up on the fence boundary so quick that I never went through to the end of the program. Billie quickly figured out that the virtual boundaries are aligned to our farm’s perimeter fence, and she doesn’t go near the fence line, or gates any more. I didn’t even bother with the electric static correction either.I saw how effective it is this morning when all four of my dogs were chasing after a deer. Three of the dogs went through an open back gate and after the deer onto a neighbors farm (these three always come home). Billie on the other hand, stopped about 20 feet from the gate, then turned around and layed down. I couldn’t believe that her training to the virtual fence would overcome a prey drive, and I never specifically trained her to that back gate!Love that the fence boundaries are downloaded into the collar so even when cellular signal is out the GPS will still correct her if she starts to wander. But, despite cell signal being spotty in my rural area, the universal cell service on the collar has not failed yet. Big plus on both over cheaper GPS collars. The collar is stout! I am not worried about it breaking off like my last collar did. Although a bit bulky, my large dog doesn’t mind it at all. The way that it’s designed, the larger components are on the opposite end of the GPS and Cell receiver, so that are always pointed up towards the sky when the collar is on. And the GPS works great under heavy tree cover.I’ve seen some negative reviews about people’s dogs being corrected when inside the house. I made the home zone much larger than my house so the collar turns off once Billie reaches the yard. Who needs to track their dog in the front yard anyway?I’ve also seen complaints about location update frequency, which i think is people misunderstanding functionality. When the dog is inside the virtual fence the tracking status updates every 5-10 minutes, which I guess is to save on battery life. But as soon as they cross the fence boundaries, it immediately switches to real-time tracking. While inside the boundary, the app allows you to refresh location any time, and you can turn on real-time tracking at any time, which also shows your location on the map as well.Yes. 100% satisfied with this GPS collar. Would recommend to anyone without any reservations.

This dog GPS surpassed my expectations. I took a while to choose this one and watched videos made to compare conpetitor products. It’s one of the more expensive GPS systems on the market, but well worth it, in my opinion.I am easily intimidated by technology and this app is the easiest app that I have ever used. It took me 4 minutes to set up our fences. My dog learned very quickly to stay away from the 1st boundary alarm. He is 7 months old and rambunctious, but he obeys the boundaries. He loves being in his pond and I can actually set different fences for him to allow the pond or to not allow the pond. I have to walk him through when he’s allowed the pond, because he doesn’t challenge the boundaries. We live on a busy road and the speed limit is 80km. While I was training him, a group of cyclist went by, he went to dart out and turned around immediately when he breached the third warning.Spoton has a bigger price tag, but you can’t beat it for ease of use, effectiveness, precision, and features. If you only want the fencing option then there is no subscription fee, but if you want escape alerts, location ID, the recall feature, night light, etc, then the subscription is a fair price at $9/mth.I am thrilled with this product. I hope to have our pup for many years and I know that this product will be invaluable in keeping him safe. Also, he has tried everything to get the collar off (he scratches at everything) and the product doesn’t have a mark on it.I highly recommend this product.

I recently purchased two SpotOn GPS Dog Collars from Amazon Canada, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The collars arrived quickly and were beautifully packaged—right from the unboxing, it was clear this was a premium product.Setting up the invisible GPS fences was incredibly easy, and the training process for my two golden retrievers was smooth and straightforward. Within no time, they were confidently staying within the designated boundaries. What I love most is the versatility—I can take the collars with us to the cottage or camping and create new fences on the go. It gives me such peace of mind knowing my dogs are safe, no matter where we are.I also had a few questions and reached out to the company—their customer support was outstanding. They responded quickly and were extremely helpful and supportive, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and portable solution to keep your dogs safe without building physical fences, I highly recommend the SpotOn collar. It’s a fantastic investment in your pets’ safety and your own peace of mind.

This item does not work in the UK. I have also tried to return it twice and have failed to receive my return label to proceed.

We have had a very frustrating experience with this company. It is advertised to have a “longer battery life” (lasting approximately 24 hours), but ever since we first starting using the product, the battery would die within one day – maybe 14 hours maximum. We contacted Spot On directly and were given instructions to update our app, which we followed, but there was no change. We contacted them again and they told us the issue was that our dog was going outside the boundary too much and when the GPS is activated, it dramatically reduces the battery life and provided us with training instructions for our dog. Over a few weeks we noticed, however, that even when our dog never breached the fence, the battery would still die within the day. I insisted that the battery was not performing as advertised right from the very beginning of this process, but it felt like they kept deflecting the issue back onto us. When I finally contacted them the third time and tracked the battery life with a rep throughout a day (when there were no breaches), they started a warranty claim and wanted us to send back the product to be inspected. We followed the instructions and once the inspection was completed, they said the collar had damage to it (puncture marks) that was causing the issue and that damage done was not under warranty, but we’d have to use our “one time accident replacement” and be sent a refurbished unit. Yes, the collar had puncture marks on the band (likely from playing with our other dog), but I do not believe that this was the cause of the problem and sounded more like a convenient excuse. We emailed them back saying as much and said that we would prefer to have our money back, as this product did not perform as expected from the moment we opened the package and we expect a premium product for a premium price. This email was left unanswered, the ticket was closed without a response, but then I got a shipping notification that a new collar was sent. We have been a month without the collar that we spent over $1,000 on since sending it back and when we got the delivery notification for the new collar, we saw that it had been sent to a previous address where we no longer live (we moved over a year ago and the address must have been a previous billing address on a credit card). We have never provided the company with this address. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with this company.
