Quality; ease of use.
I have bought quite a few slip-collar leads for various dogs over the years, and this is the best lead so far!I like the quality of workmanship, ease of use, extra padding on the handle (new to me). I noticed how easy it is to adjust a metal slide to fit the individual dog’s neck (not too tight!), and a little sliding leather nub to keep the slip collar on the dog (not too loose). Other leashes have these features, but don’t have the same quality of workmanship.The length of the lead is a bit over six feet in length with room to adjust for a dog with a larger neck. My terriers notice the difference from their stiffer, slightly shorter leashes from another brand.The blue color is attractive, the lead is light-weight but strong. Works well with my 15 lb Rat Terriers (slender necks, but strong). In an emergency I could use this lead with my 90 lb Great Pyrenees.I bought two of these to try them out with my terriers. Most likely I will buy again.

Good leash, coils and twists easily
I like this leashI use a different one for training my Labrador puppy and have just bought this as a replacement for the same one (but half inch thickness) that I bought four months agoFor the price I don’t mind replacing it as I used the first one all the time for several months but the constant friction with a puppy bouncing around initially and my hands constantly reeling him in and cutting sone slack has worn the rope that it’s become rough to touch and a bit ouch on the skin!I love the little metal loop to prevent choking the dogThe down side of the leash is that the little leather fastener quickly becomes loose with use and doesn’t hold properlyAlso, be aware that this leash is prone to twisting and coiling if your dog is all over the place – managed to break my finger in two places when it wrapped around it in a tight coil as my puppy was startled by a large bird landing in front of him!Just to be upfront, I used my first one several hours a day for both training and daily walks so I got a LOT of use out of it and feel it was still a good value as it’s still intact – which is why I bought another one

Love this leash! Wish it came it prettier colors
I’m dogsitting a shiba inu that is super dominant and pulls a LOT. He’s so strong he knocks me off my feet at times even when I use the leash to brace against my body. I was tired of muscling through walks (thankfully because it’s currently snowy and Icy where I am)… I implemented Caesar Millan’s structured walks and learned how to place the slip leash correctly. I’m a fan of the gentle leader head collar, and have used those with dogs i’ve walked in the past, as well as my dogs, but they don’t always look very “pretty”… and can look like a muzzle for larger intimidating breeds. So sometimes, people don’t like to use them – which I can understand.While this isn’t the prettiest option, I bought three slip leads and this is the one I’ve reached for the most. It’s thin enough to deliver e nough pressure right behind the ears and jaws.. stays there, and is pretty sturdy. I don’t love the squishy handle because you’re supposed to keep the leash quite short in hand and the neoprene squishy handle is not really helpful.i also like to use carabiners when I need to be hands free, and this thick neoprene simply doesn’t help.I wish it came in more classy colors, like olive green – but it works SO WELL for the larger dog i’m taking care of, that I can’t be without it!Remember that it needs to be placed very high up. RIGHT behind the ears and behind the jaw bone. Any lower and the dog gets leverage to pull forward and that’s where you hear the choking and have trachea issues.It’s seriously made walk time more enjoyable – i was dreading walks becuase I was being pulled. We also got tons of snow recently and i’m SO GRATEFUL that i got the pup used to walking with this lead before snow fell. I would’ve defintiely gotten injured if we hadn’t been using this leash properly. I barely have to use any effort because when used properly, there is no tension on the leash except for a 1-second correction upwards.Get this leash and also read up on Caesar Millan’s leash walking tips. It’ll change walk time!

Great lead, excellent value
This lead is exactly what I was looking for. I am able to keep the lead up under the chin of my dog for training on-lead. It’s a bit stiff which is perfect. When quick corrections are made, the lead tightens and loosens again swiftly. The tab to prevent choking was a must. Not all leads of this type have one. The leather tab to keep the loop from becoming too large and slipping off is also working well. It will slip, naturally, but doesn’t seem to in normal use. Note that we use this lead for walking at a heal only. We don’t use it on hikes when we let her walk more casually (still on-leash) to find a path that works for her feet. This type of round weave naturally has a teeny bit of stretch. It’s not elastic; we have full control, the stretch isn’t noticeable in-use. The padded handle is necessary. I wasn’t at all sure of it… it looked bulky, but after working with the lead for awhile I found I appreciated it a lot. For the times when our girl lost complete focus at the sight of her favorite neighbor and lunged to go and visit… the padded handle saved my hand from certain pain.This lead ticks all the boxes and has an excellent price-point compared with similar, celebrity-sponsored leads. I’m really happy I made the choice for the less costly lead. It works perfectly.

Tolle und praktische Leine für den Hund. Ich finde die Leine sehr praktisch. Wir nehmen sie gerne für unseren Urlaub am Strand, sodass wir unseren Hund leichter an- und ableinen können. Das Material ist auch super und gerade der Griff ist sehr angenehm zum Angreifen. Ich würde die Leine immer wieder kaufen und in der Farbe pink sieht sie auch super aus.
