Our university laboratory has extensively worked with these tick remover tools to ensure that they can easily and safely remove all types of ticks from humans or animals.
The tick removal tool can be used to gently and entirely remove larger embedded ticks by sliding the fork underneath the tick’s mouthparts and lifting. The ultra-fine-tip tweezers can be used to precisely remove tiny embedded deer ticks or tick nymphs.
The CDC recommends the use of fine-tipped tweezers to carefully remove ticks. Beware of other tick removal tools that advertise “twisting” or jerking the tick – this can cause the mouth-parts to break off and remain in the skin, and increase the transmission risk of tick-borne infections like Lyme disease.

I haven’t had to use these yet which is a good thing but bought them in a panic when my dog had a tick on her a few weeks ago. I gave this four stars because it did come quite later than it said it was supposed to. Quality wise it’s really nice and the case is super compact and fits in my purse, car and fanny pack. I bought one for everyone in my family!

I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to get the kit. Today is Thursday, but I was supposed to get my delivery on Monday. Although I had a different tick removing tool and three of them, I could not find not one. I ordered this one with high hopes. It got the job done. My furry friend will feel much better and he’s happy that he got peanut butter for being a good patient. Lol.The tools are nice and compact with decent weight, but big enough to hold in large hands. My picture may have a little black on the tips because I sanitized them with fire. The tools were ready to use and ideal for the task at hand. The leather pouch is simple yet seems like it may last long enough.

The forked tongue end worked better than I expected. It’s thinner than my other one. But still stiff. The polished finish helps it slide under the tick better.I have one of those ’tick keys’ but they are only good when the tick is easily accessible.
