Our university laboratory recommends that these tick remover hooks be used to remove ticks as shown in this diagram, NOT by twisting or jerking the ticks. Twisting ticks can cause the mouthparts to detach in the wound, which can increase risk of tick-borne infection such as Lyme disease.

Have you ever tried to get a tick off a fluffy, wiggly kitten? I was at a loss until I discovered this – it worked wonderfully, got the whole thing out with minimal trauma for kitten and no bloodshed.

This tick remover set is a smart addition to any first aid kit, especially if you spend time outdoors or have pets. The tools are lightweight, easy to use, and work well for removing ticks cleanly without squeezing or leaving parts behind. The included tick ID card is also surprisingly useful for figuring out what kind of tick you’re dealing with and whether it’s a concern.I’m giving it 4 stars only because the plastic could feel a bit sturdier—though it’s held up fine so far—and I wish it came with a small case or pouch to keep everything together.That said, it’s an affordable and practical kit that gives peace of mind when you’re out in nature or dealing with pets. Best tick removal product I’ve found
This is the best product I’ve ever found to remove ticks. I was old school using tweezers which you struggle for 20 minutes and lucky if you get it off then. This gadget took it off within 30 seconds.

Was not sure at first if these would work,but, a friend swears by them. I used these on my dogs a few times this past summer and they worked well. Pull and twist the tick right out !

Good to have with you
Tools like these are very good to have with you if you spend a lot of time outdoors in ticky areas like I do. These are way better than trying to pull ticks out with your fingers and much easier to use than tweezers.The only eyebrow-raising part of this is that it includes info for a service that you can send your ticks to in order to have them tested for common tick-borne diseases. I like the idea of this, but the service starts at $50/tick for the basic test and goes up dramatically from there. Maybe that’s not much money to some people, but I think that will be a big turnoff for most.Overall, these are good tools to have in your kit. Educate yourself on what signs to look out for so you don’t end up with long-term complications from undiagnosed illness.

This hock tick remover really works on the smallest lave to larger ticks.The slits are sharp to get close to the skin and come together to fine in to capture the smallest tick. This brand is based on research and engineered to be fit for purpose.A previous tick remover I bought was a poor imitation of this and did not work especially on smaller ticks.

These tools are great! I removed 2 ticks from our cat easily (fairly painless too I would assume since she didn’t meow in discomfort) Do not twist with these–pull straight up with a firm grasp until you hear the head pop out. I definitely recommend these tools over tweezers because they extract the whole body without breaking/leaving mouth parts behind.
