Excellent Choice
My blind senior dog lives for food sometimes far too much. This is a sturdy option that slows her down enough to make it stimulating and more difficult to eat too quickly. It was a great price for the weight and quality. It works well for what it’s designed to do. It’s a little larger than I’d prefer but that seems to work as an advantage for my old four legged gal. Highly recommend.

Both 15 year old and 3 year old cats eat out of it
Got these bowls for my cats and they are a good size. I have a 3 year old and 15 year old so I needed something that would slow down the fatty patty 3 year old who shovels food in his mouth like it’s his last meal but also doesn’t discourage the 15 year old who has IBD. The fish ridges are the perfect height if you fill just the bottom so they have to work around to get the food. It is also a decently sized bowl so they don’t get “whisker fatigue” (or at least mine didn’t). The 15 year old eats perfectly out of it and the 3 year old will honestly eat out of anything so he eats out of it of course. I believe it’s slowed him down a bit (he can’t shovel as much in his mouth at once). I also have an elevated food stand and I wanted a bowl to fit in there. While the bowls don’t fit inside, there are non-slip things on the bottom that fit perfectly in the food bowl holes that their previous bowls were in (they were the normal sized stainless steel small cat bowls) and they prevent them from moving around on the wooden elevated food stand which is perfect!

My cat always eats to fast and throws up and this bowl definitely slowed him down. He’s mad at me for swapping out his old bowl with this one but that’s okay. He hasn’t thrown up since I started using it so it’s for sure working.

Good design
My cat like any other eats like I am going to take away the food and never feed him again (eyes rolling). At 9yo you would think he would slow down. This bowl does just that. Instead of 2 minutes it takes him 5.

EDIT: After observing Ash eat out of this bowl it’s been great for slowing down his eating as long as it is below the creases/bananas. Updated for 5 stars as it has been a great bowl.This is made from 100% Melamine which is a strong plastic from what I understand. It seems strong feeling, it’s not super heavy but has a little bit of weight to it but it’s lightweight. (Hope that makes sense haha). It has 3 non slip grip pieces on the bottom which keeps it in place on the bathroom counter (we have to keep it out of reach from the dog so he isn’t eating Ash’s food). It DOESN’T seem to slow down his eating though which is a bummer and the reasoning for the 3 stars. I have only had one other slow feeding bowl which seemed to slow down his eating by a lot but unfortunately it has completely disappeared and it’s suspected that a bird might have grabbed it (sounds silly but the upstairs bathroom window has had birds come through it before) and we haven’t been able to find it at all.Anyways overall this one seems heavy duty and a good bowl but not necessarily the best for allowing the cat/kitten to slow down eating- I believe it’s too deep and needs to be thinner so the food is more flush with the curves/banana designs (not sure what to call them). I will try to maybe not fill it as full next time to see if that helps but I have 5 kids and don’t really have time (or the memory- ADHD mom brain) to fill it little by little so he is getting the full amount he needs each day. This pink slow feeder bowl is perfect for my cat! She used to eat way too fast and would sometimes get sick after meals. Since using this bowl, her eating pace has slowed down significantly, and she seems more satisfied after eating. The melamine material is sturdy and unbreakable—plus, it’s super easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I also love the non-slip bottom; it stays in place during mealtime. Works great with both wet and dry food. Cute, practical, and totally worth it!

The bowl came in great shape. The size is exactly as expected as stated in the listing but I actually like the colour much more in person. The bowl is so easy to clean and I do feel it does the job well enough to help slow speedy eaters. I also appreciate the melamine construction as it does feel durable and up to some steady use over time.

This is my second slow feeder, the first I got was intended for dogs and while it works quite well for my cats, they can’t get all the kibble out, so I have to empty it out every day to avoid older food molding at the bottom due to the grooves being very deep and the cats losing their patience trying to fish kibble out with their paw.This one doesn’t have that issue, but due to how the barriers are shaped, I feel it’s a bit TOO easy. From what I’ve seen this is the standard design for cat slow feeders so… You don’t want to overfill it or the first half of the eating will happen very quickly, and since this is sized like a normal cat plate, that means you can at most fit about 1 cup of kibble.The material is also plastic, which will deteriorate over time if the cats are licking the bowl. I’ve seen cat tongues grind up metal, so this plastic will indeed get worn down and that means it will need replacing once this happens. How long that takes depends on how much the cat licks the bowl though.I do wish the bottom design was more compatible with feed stools, as I’d much rather my cat eat without bending down to the ground.

It has gone through my dishwasher several times with no issues (the little rubber feet on the bottom are still firmly secure).I’d be fine paying around $15 for one of these bowls…but I’d prefer fish to bananas, lol.CAN recommend.NOTE: I thought the bananas were fish xD Why bananas?

The listing says it’s dishwasher safe, though I suspect the grippy feet stuck on the bottom won’t survive many dishwasher trips.The deeply raised ridges will slow down your cat, whether they eat dry or canned food. I suspect it would be more effective with a “chunks in sauce” style canned food than it did with the “loaf” style pictured.
