Excellent cat fountain
Everything about how this cat fountain is built is great. It runs quietly and it is easy to take apart, clean, and put back together again. No plastic parts. All stainless steel, an improvement on a previous design. Only two minor flaws: the fill line is almost impossible to see if it is not turned on, and you can’t turn it on until you fill it. The other is that though the directions on cleaning the motor are very clear, they don’t provide the very tiny cleaning brush you will need in order to complete the task. I guess I have to order a tiny brush online and hope that it meets my needs. The company could have just provided it. How much could it cost?

Awesome fountain
Ordered this fountain for my kitties. The one I had before was plastic and hard to clean. This one is easy to assemble, easy to clean, looks really cool and my cats love it. It was under 30 dollars which was nice as well. I really like that I can see the water level from the outside .

Great fountain!
I like the idea of a fountain but I never wanted to buy one because I don’t want to have to clean it all the time. Unfortunately my crazy little one and a half year old Siamese loves to drink out of a running faucet. I was going away for a few days and was worried about him not drinking water, or at least enough water, out of a regular dish. So I took the plunge and bought this one. It took a couple of days but he got into it and it works great. It’s not noisy. When I first set it up there was a noise but after the first time I cleaned it, it wasn’t noisy at all. Not sure what I did differently. When there is a noise it sounds like water dripping from a faucet and sometimes I can hear the low vibrating sound of the filter. I don’t think either sound is bothersome. It needs to be cleaned once a week and the filter needs to be changed every two weeks. It also says somewhere that it should be replaced every two years. My 8-year-old tortie is not interested and still drinks out of her regular dish. Luckily she’s easy going. My little crazy Siamese, not so much. Luckily he’s adorable, sweet and has a great personality!

Noisy with thin stainless steel body and trays
First, the pump on this fountain is excellent and virtually silent. I knew that going into this purchase because I bought the identical pump separately as a replacement for another fountain. That was the reason I decided to buy this fountain from Venken. However I don’t think the rest of the fountain quite lives up to the quality of the pump.I do like that it’s primarily stainless steel, however the stainless steel is thin and feels a bit flimsy as compared to other stainless steel body fountains I’ve used. As someone who’s kind of clumsy it raises concerns about denting. However, I love that the fountain flower is heavy duty stainless steel and has six streams vs. the hard plastic flower with just four streams that I’ve been accustomed to. And I know that many people people will appreciate the switch on the pump’s cord that allows you to turn off the blue LED light. As for cleaning, the design makes the fountain very easy to quickly disassemble, thoroughly clean and reassemble it.Besides knowing the pump is great, I went for this fountain because it has more stainless steel components than the fountain I was using. Unfortunately, the stainless steel under-tray makes this fountain a great deal noisier than one with a hard plastic under-tray. I’m not generally bothered by the sound of water and don’t have any expections that flowing water, especially if it’s hitting metal, can or should be completely silent, but since the main fountain lives only a foot from the head of my bed, I sadly had to keep the original fountain with the plastic under-tray in my bedroom.I can’t comment on the duration of the battery life / charge duration because I choose to use cat fountains as plug-in electrical devices.Update: a shout-out to the manufacturer who took the time to respond to the criticisms in my review. I immensely appreciate their concern with customer satisfaction and would absolutely buy from Venken in the future.

Great, solid product for the price!
Great product. Clear instructions, it was very well packaged. The fountain works really well and my kitties liked it right away. After I bought a couple of cheap fountains recently, none of them lasted more than a few months. I feel like this one is much better designed and definitely will last longer.

Mold is about to have fresh AF water
Just got it-assembly was super easy, I was able to pull it all apart to hand wash before using it for my cat. Mold (my cat (I found him as a kitten eating mold under a sink-hence his name)) seems to be really intrigued by the flower and has already started to use it! It’s nice stainless steel that will last a while I’m sure and the top is aluminum I believe so that is also a plus. There are three filters that come with the filter and the make the water clean and crisp for you cat. I will add-it’s not silent and it is a little louder than you might think BUT I’m sure you’ll get used to it and it’s definitely not loud enough to scare your cat away-just dripping sounds.

Keep it topped off or the pump will die
Generally nice. Took our cats several weeks to really get into it and then the pump died when it ran low on water. Wish they sold replacement pumps or had pumps that would shut off when the water level is low. Or both. Nice product overall, but sounds like I’m not the only one who had the stop working.Edit: I had thought I hadn’t submitted this review and would have edited it weeks ago, but was just contacted by the seller trying to rectify the situation. I had discovered shortly after typing the review that the tube between the pump and the dispenser on top had gotten just a little loose. Pushing it all the way back in to the connection on the pump immediately corrected the situation. It’s still going strong. No complaints about the product, but the super proactive sellers are impressive.

Its cute and dainty but not too small, perfect for my chihuahua and my cat! Even my lab has taken a liking to it, I will need to buy a really big one for her lol. Good quality, its a thin stainless steel, it could dent easy if dropped probably, but im not throwing my fountain around to find out. It came in perfect shape and it was easy to assemble! The only thing the little plastic pieces where the cord goes through in the back can fall off easy, so just be aware of that! But thats such a minor thing. Its cute it works and it has a night light.

Good size fountain, easy to clean and refill. Some reviews say it’s loud, it is not. Pump is silent, all you hear is the water return.It’s nice that it has a window for the water level and no blue light, as that light grows algae.However, I am not giving five stars because that window leaks. It’s a very small drip but adds up over time. I used waterproof silicone to seal it and when I refilled the basin, I watched the water fill in the small gap the window has. I marked it in a photo so others can see where I mean.I wonder about mold growing in that tiny crack so we will see. All and all, great fountain. Showed up a day early and brand new, well packaged and clean.

quiet, good quality and only issue is i velcroed the power cable and made it awkward to change the water. its very quiet so my skittish cat lays beside it and watches it. i picked this one because the cost was reasonable, pump quiet and there were good deals on large packs of replacement filters.

My cat loves it!We switched from plastic Catit fountain.Although I love Catit products and my cat does too, I found that the fountain was prone to slime and algae buildup. It was hard to clean out every little gap and the seams in the plans I did not help.This fountain is stainless steel and made very simply yet very well. There are no seams for bacteria and algae to buildup on and every part is easy to clean, including the pump. What’s even better is that all the main components are dishwasher safe! It does have very good capacity so I don’t have to refill it as often. In addition, there is a switch for the light. So you can turn the light off if you like. I can go on and on about all the pros of this fountain.Worth the price!
