Great for parrots
Wow this is a great invention! My parrot has learned to fear nail files, and I’m too nervous to use clippers because I’ve nicked him in the past. He has opaque black nails and no way to see the quick unless looking from underneath. Dremels are much too loud and unsafe. If a parrots nails grow out too much, it can cause arthritis over time, and because I ruined the other methods for him, this has been a concern.He has never seen this object before, so I clicker trained him to be comfortable touching it a day or two before actually using it on him. It is thankfully very quiet. The volume of a fly or mosquito.The clipper end is pretty useless for us, it’s much too big, but the grinder is priceless! It works so fast and we turned it into a game. I wouldn’t say he likes it, but he isn’t afraid of it, and his nails are now the appropriate length, so I’m very grateful to have found this product!

Works well, not very noisy. The nail cutter is very sharp and it’s done quickly. Dog didn’t mind the grinding end.

1st time using this type of product. What I like a lot about this device is that, for the price, it offers a lot of value. My dogs are super scared of the clippers, so I used the nail grinder on the other end they were ok with that.

Nailcutters too big & can’t open wide enough for small cat nails
Tried to use this on my nailcutting-adverse cat, but the nail clippers themselves were too big and didn’t open far enough. I really like the lights on the end though, since we have to cut our cat’s nails in the dark (when he’s in bed at night with us and most relaxed). All in all, had to return these after trying to use them on him a few times, but am sad it didn’t work out!

I wish the light was on both side other than that i like it alot my dogs a very scared dog and I was worried about the grinder and she did very well with it the nail clipper are sharp and cut my dogs nail instead of crushing them

Inaccurate description. No guard to avoid overcutting. Watch out receiving units “pre upgrade”.
Inaccurate description. States the following, “Upgraded Safety Guard to Avoid Overcutting”. There is no physical guard that I could see. There are apparently older units still being sold that do not have this so called guard. The manual does not even make a mention of any guard. Returned for refund. This feature is the main reason I ordered it over some others.

Does not work as advertised – can’t see anything in black nails. And the light is oriented such it blinds you anyway. It’s a gimmick that I had high hopes for.
