Not a good idea actually because if he wasn’t scared of it he would have all the treats gone.
Our cat doesn’t like it. lol He will eat the treats if you press the handle but he’s not interested in trying himself. Cover fell off and it keeps doing it , he didn’t even try to steal the treats, and that is a rare thing for Mr. steal the bag. It’s a bit loud and I think that is the problem. Good idea but needs to be more cat friendly.

Not worth the try
Somewhat difficult to teach a kitten or cat to use, the spring gets caught a little so you have to readjust it to pull it back up so that it can reload itself. It is easily knocked over and as well as much treat if you put in Will way down the spinning mechanism, therefore weighing down the pool back method, the functionality is there, but I wish that it had come with something to keep it more stable instead of it constantly being knocked over.

Not For All Pets
The reality is that my dogs just don’t “get it”. The puppy has tried to get the treats out of the hole so aggresively that I thought he was going to get his jaw stuck in the hole. I’ve watched lots of videos of dogs learning to ring a bell for treats and thought it was cute and this looked like a play on that idea. Except the peddle takes a good bit more force to push down. Plus, if you have multiple dogs, this is a nightmare. No one wants to be the dog doing the lever pushing. Everyone wants to be the dog with their mouth waiting at the dispenser hole. Perhaps you will have better luck if you have one dog and it’s big enough to work the peddle. Mine are all smaller and the only one who can do it is the puppy because he just flops his whole body on it.As for quality… My one big concern is that the 3 lids that go onto it are really not made well. They have two tabs sticking out that you line up in holes and twist to lock into place. Well, the tabs aren’t cleanly made and there’s ragged plastic edges around them which make it super difficult to lock into place.If you’re reading my review and wondering why the rating isn’t a 1 star, it’s because I’m chalking a huge part of the problem up to my dogs and their personalities. I could honestly see this being a great toy for the right dog. And, as for the lids, despite the problems, they do still lock into place. I just wanted to share my own experience because I think this toy is totally going to be a 5 star find for some people and not so much for others. But it does exactly what it says, so you can judge for yourself.

Smart toy
I really like this cute smart toy for dogs or cats. However, our cats are too scared of it to try it out. I love it though! It is a nice size that is easy for a pet to operate with just a press on the lever. The treats inside come out 1 or 2 at a time but not every time. Our cats liked getting the treats but did not understand that they needed to press the lever to get them. No fault of the toy that our pets are a little backwards. It is a very well designed toy that is durable and easy to work. It even comes with an extra bubble top in case one gets broken I guess. This does make a noise when it is working which might scare some animals. Others may find it quite fun and enjoyable. Just depends on the pet. I think it is a wonderful toy.
