Pretty and practical alternative to disposable pee pads
I love these handy mats. At 36 x 41, they’re a generous size that is definitely larger than most standard litter mats, which makes them much more versatile around the house. The design makes it look like a little area rug and it does a good job camouflaging any stains or spots as needed. I somehow missed that this was a two-pack when I ordered, so that was a very pleasant surprise. Getting two for the price makes this an especially good value.I’ve used similar fabric-style mats before and have several others around the house, but I personally don’t use them directly in front of litter boxes because tracked litter just tends to scatter or roll off of them. For that purpose, I prefer a ridged silicone mat. But these mats have turned out to be absolutely perfect to use anywhere I would normally put down disposable pee pads. They look so much nicer, feel sturdier underfoot, and hold up really well to use especially if you hang them up a little against the baseboard with wall clips to keep things sanitary. I have several elderly and disabled cats, and occasionally they have accidents or don’t quite make it to the box, so I line certain areas with these mats as extra protection. I also found that this size fits perfectly in the entryway where my outside pet door is which makes a great waterproof mat for muddy or wet paws.After a couple of weeks of use, they’ve already been through repeated washings and have held up beautifully with no shrinking, warping, damage, or lingering smell. Most importantly, they hold liquid and don’t leak through to the floor underneath. Overall, these are a durable and much more attractive alternative to disposable pee pads.
