Great Slow Feeder for Hot Weather & Mental Stimulation
I purchased two Lick Mat for Dogs – Slow Feeder Leaking Mats for my corgi, and we absolutely love them. The colors are very bright and cheerful, and the material feels durable and high quality.I usually spread liquid or wet food on the mat, lightly freeze it, and give it to my dog during warm weather. We live in sunny California, so it’s almost always warm here, and this mat works perfectly as a cooling and calming activity.It keeps my dog busy for about 30 minutes. First, she eats much more slowly, which is great for digestion. Second, she really has to use her brain to lick every part of the mat, which provides excellent mental stimulation.I wanted to take photos, but honestly, my dog loves these mats so much that they are rarely free. You’ll just have to take my word for it — my dog is very happy with them.

Love these for my dog! We use them during bath time and the suction cups work great. They keep him busy for about 20-30 minutes!

Great on the right surface
The only surface i found where the suction actually works on these, was the inside of the bathtub. In that regard, this product works just as it should! I wouldn’t recommend for any other surface though, it didn’t stick to the tile above our tub or to the floor like i was hoping. This essentially seems to work best for helping keep your dog occupied during bathing. The quality is good for what it is, but my puppy did manage to tear off a couple corners from one, so if you’re using this with chew-obsessed dogs like mine, just keep a close eye on them. Sticks on fast with the right surface, and won’t come off without being pulled.

Pup Tested, Mother Approved!
I guess the buyers that claimed this didn’t wash clean don’t own a dish brush? I gave it a quick brush before putting it in the dishwasher—but I’m not sure it even would have needed it—and it came out perfectly clean. These were just the right size for my Ruby and Sonny (shih tzu mixes) and the suction cups stuck perfectly to my LVT floor. Also when I was loading them up, they stuck perfectly to my granite countertop, so I’m surprised that some reviewers claimed they didn’t stick to surfaces. I bought the Skippy “no sugar added” peanut butter to spread on them, which was cheaper than some other spreadable treats, and contains only 3 ingredients: roasted peanuts, salt, and palm oil. I used the spatula first, but found that using a sandwich bag over my fingers made it even easier to really get the PB in the crevices, so that I wasn’t giving them too much. Great for enrichment and to keep them busy! Five stars!

So perfect for my dogs
**neither of my dogs are big chewers and the spatula is total rubbish*** but we love it! It’s 10 stars for us… But not for everyone.I have 2 dogs, lab mixes sized medium and large. Both love to lick. My larger older dog had surgery and obsessively licked her cone, the floor, dog beds everything. We think she was self soothing by licking. I ordered these to give her an outlet. It ended being more than that. She had a tooth removed and several lump removed, including on a front leg. She’s on a soft food diet. She gets these lick mats while she waits for her food to soften, this really helped her anxiety that we forgot to put her bowl down during the time it takes her hard food to soften. She comes back after dinner to lick again as she really likes it. We use canned wet food, the pate style food because both dogs have sensitive stomachs. The mat sticks easily to the side of the cupboard where she eats. I love that it’s up on the wall so she does not need to bend over or strain the leg that had surgery. She still licks, but is not so obsessively.My second dog, the younger little one loves it too. Her’s is on the floor and she really gets in it. She lays in the floor and goes to town. As I write this review she’s licking it.*** The ugly- as I said, the spatula is junk. This is not for the chewer, or with caution with a chewer. They don’t wash up easily and even after the dishwasher may have some gunk…. And when we run our kitchen faucet on it when it’s flat it makes the water geyser out of the sink and soak us and the floor. It’s fine on the side of the sink or submerged… But use caution putting it flat on the bottom of the sink and turning the tap on.

Meh
They work good but be ready for a bit of a mess. Unless you keep your dog in a cold room they are bound to warm up as the peanut butter or whatever you spread and freeze on it cools down. This means cleaning the crate cushion and blankets often when using this. With all that said it did keep her pretty busy for a while which is cool and I like that I get to pick what she is eating instead of a heavily processed chew treat.

Great stress/anxiety reducer
Anxiety and stress reducer. I use these daily for my two dogs with a little dog safe peanut butter spread over them. If you freeze them, it will take the dogs longer to finish them.
