A good suplement for older dogs.
It is a good suplement for the treatment of bumpy fat accumulations under the skin. The accumulations are benign and frequently increase with the age and inactivity of the pet. The product is liberally applied at least once a day and combined with more exercise–maybe an hour or two more each day. The accumulations don’t shrink much but seem to be stabilized giving your pet longer mobility and life.

Great product at a great price
I have a very hairy kitty who gets hairballs frequently. One of the recommendations from my vet was to give her fish oil. It helps slick up her tracks inside to help any hair she might ingest move smoothly through. The oil is also helping her skin to be healthy and her coat shiny. I break open a gel caplet every morning and drizzle it over her food. She loves the taste of it! This product has worked well for our hairball issue, noticeable difference in how soft her coat is, and is cost effective! Good all around.

Really helped my dogs skin!
My Rottweiler was constantly itching and she didn’t have a flea problem that would have been causing it, so I took a chance and gave this stuff a try…. It was like a miracle, within 2-3 day’s (or maybe even less time) she had completely stopped itching- no joke just totally stopped! I gave her 1 pill in the morning and 2 at night (her weight and size calls for 3 daily) and have continued giving these to her and the problem is totally fixed! I don’t do anything but throw them on top of her dry food and she eats them like that, you could also puncture the pill’s and squeeze the fish oil out onto the food, but it’s messy and she doesn’t seem to mind them, but it would work if you had a picky dog who won’t eat anything like mine. Great product- highly recommend!!

Huge pill for small dogs, wish I had known.
***Two Month Update***Our little girl’s itching is virtually gone, just the normal scratch here and there. Her hair is much softer and even her skin looks the best I’ve ever seen it.When searching for a supplement to help my nine year old Pomeranian who had suddenly started showing signs of allergies or dry skin/hair due to loss of Omega-3’s. I came across NOW Pets Omega-3 supplement and knowing how I value and trust NOW Foods it was a no brainer to purchase this product, especially after reading the product details.Now a little background.Lucy is a nine year old Pom that came to our family as a rescue at about one year old. She joined our other Pom of the same age who was on a diet of Salmon dog food. Everything went great for seven and a half years then two things happened. We had to say goodbye to our little boy due to cancer and my husband decided on a fresh dog food whose only selections were Beef, Chicken or Turkey. Six to seven months later Lucy started itching and biting herself and tore her skin up right proper. We got her healed and she started digging really bad again after a week to two weeks. I ordered Amazon’s liquid Salmon supplement/topper and she refused to touch it or any food it came in contact with. I found that strange since my older Pomeranian’s loved it.Lucy’s itching and digging started up bad angain and I looked for other solutions online and found NOW Pets. Lucy takes pills very well and after I compared prices I decided to purchase on Amazon due to quick and free shipping with Prime.I was shocked by the size of the capsule when it arrived (picture attached shows the capsule next to a AA battery). It’s a horse pill, larger than a lot of human pills I’ve seen and my little Lucy is not even nine pounds. It’s a real chore trying to get her to swallow a pill basically the size of her mouth.I don’t know if I looked over the size written in the description but upon reviewing images before writing this review I did not see any visual representation of the size as other supplements do on their product pages. It appears to be a high quality product that I expect from NOW but I would have ordered something smaller if I had known the capsule size.As far as its effectiveness it is too early to tell other than after two days her itching was cut in half. Her hair is still really stiff and ragged looking, nothing like the fluffy furbaby she’d been for eight years. I expect ber hair to take a while to recover.To compensate for the size of the capsule I’ve started piercing it and allowing the liquid to be mixed in to her food. When the capsule is pierced the smell is overwhelming and a put off for my little girl. Apparently it tastes ok because unlike the Amazon brand the food with the liquid from the capsule was eaten as normal after nosing around the bowl to determine if it was her normal food.I’ll update this post as time progresses with coat changes, shine, softness and shedding.

NOPE – NONE of my dogs will have it
oh they smell SO BAD !i have 4 dogs and i can’t get even ONE of them to get NEAR those things.HOWEVER – i did discover a couple of ways to ‘sneak’ them into something – a little canned mackerel or something like that – something which ALSO STINKS.i just can’t get them to agree to them so i’ll do what i have to in order for them to be taken til they’re gone, and then i’ll just buy some non-stinky fish oil – i’m sure they’ll be ok with that.just have to make sure it has no extra chemicals or anything – as does EVERYTHING these days.they’ll NEVER “CHEW” these things – i’m sure they TASTE as awful as they smell – they probably ARE effective IF/WHEN one can get a dog to agree to take them. quality is probably ok – effectiveness is probably ok – they just do NOT “like” them.as for the itch-relief thing – they wouldn’t really help any of that.

J’ai seulement donné une gélule/jour à mon labrador.Après 2 à 3 semaines elle présente nettement moins de cette sorte de pellicules qu’elle avait sur ses poils noirs.Semble marcher pour la sécheresse de la peau.
