Great Product! Our cat loves it
Great Product! Our cat loves it! It is my first pet and my first cat. She was a premature and abandoned by mother. We got her to vet, the birth cord was removed and then the fun started. Special formula and bottle fed. Her water from the start was from the “MULTI PURE SYSTEM” which is suburb and she was bottle fed that also. She had lots of health problems and it was touch and go for the first six to eight weeks. Because of her water consumption, we looked for something on the order of the Drinkwell 360. Not realizing it was so big and for multi pets, after we received it we had some doubt and of course she was so small. However, NO PROBLEM. She is even mesmerized by the water flow. The pump is extremely quiet, the double filtration is excellent. The ease of cleaning is simple. Esthetically, the stainless steel and black colour really make the unit stand out. Having the separate disconnect from the power supply is a plus. Having the five (5) different water flow attachments really gives you a big choice. We use the smallest one with the five (5) exits because of the cat size. This unit really would accommodate a wide range of pet size’s. I would not want be be without this product. We have bulk ordered the filters and even ordered a spare motor/power supply, fully realizing everything at sometime or other breaks. Buying through Amazon is the way to go. Only other concern was that we use the Dental Care Solution in her water. I would think that the filtration may have some effect on it. However, because she gets her teeth brushed at least twice daily, we thought our concerns may be over looked. Immediately after getting her teeth brushed, she goes directly to her fountain. Over all this an Exemplary product. A Five (5) Star PLUS Rating and a really BIG, BIG THANK You!Update: 08May2015. Started using the “Forever Filter,” 03Feb2015. Purchased the 100oz Acurel Extreme Carbon Pellets because it was the best price per oz. We now change the filter material weekly because it is so cost effective and really assures that the water is kept clean. We have now had our DrinkWell 360 for eight(8) months and it had perfomed just fine. Of course, it runs 24/7 and the unit is just as quiet as the day we received it. It is truly a wonderful product.

Great product
I’m very pleased with this purchase. My cats love it! They are under a year old and took to this very easily. I thought they would since one of them had a fascination with the bathtub faucet. It doesn’t leak, but she’d bat at it until she could get a drip to come out. When I first set up the Drinkwell, she played in it for about 2 hours straight – she made such a mess in the kitchen, but it was so fun to watch, I let her get it out of her system. The other cat played in it too, but after about 20 minutes or so, she was over it.The bowl is large – about 12-13 inches in diameter, and I really like the fact that it’s stainless steel even though some of the other parts are plastic. I found a nice padded mat at “BBB” to place underneath it – the mat fits the fountain along with two smaller food bowls. A mat is necessary because it eliminates the sound of the vibration of the pump. I’m not a huge fan of the clips that hold the conic piece in place, but they get the job done. The fountain cleans very easily – I usually do this about 2-3 times per week – it depends on how much they play in it, because their fur gets in it – LOL. I ended up purchasing some spare parts along with a brush kit to clean it with from the manufacturer’s web site. The brushes are very helpful and make cleaning easier. I also purchased additional foam filters that go around the pump here on Amazon at a reasonable price. I do not use a filter in the top portion of the fountain – we already have filtered water, so I don’t have a need to filter the water again. The only reason I purchase the spongy foam filter for around the pump is because it helps keep the hair out of the pump.Obviously I check the water level daily, and I usually throw a few ice cubes in when it’s warm out, which they love. They almost always drink out of the part that drips from the top. The exception would be when I put ice cubes in – then they like to lick the ice cubes and will drink out of the bottom part, which is kind of narrow. I use the top that has three water flows – the faucet comes with different tops you can put on so that there are from 1-5 water flows. I thought three was enough, especially if they want to drink out of the bottom – otherwise water would drip on their heads, but I don’t think they’d care too much. There is a part on the top that adjusts the water flow, so if you find that it makes too much noise from the dripping sound, then you can adjust the flow so that the water hits the cone part instead of splattering in the water. Also, if the water splashes out of the dish, it’s because of a combination of having the water level too high and the flow too high (or you have cats like mine that like to play in the water!)Every time I clean the fountain, my cats act like they’ve been in the desert and they need a drink immediately – they don’t like me to take it away. As soon as I put it down, they act like they did when it was brand new. The one cat likes to stand with her paws on the top of the fountain and she bats at it until the water is coming out again – so cute!So far all the parts have held up well, although I did buy some replacement parts in case something clunks out – they love the fountain so much, I just can’t have it break down 🙂 I know my cats are drinking plenty of water with this fountain as evidenced by all the clumping pee balls they leave in the litterbox!

Good purchase, but I wouldn’t buy it again
I’ve had this fountain for about 4 years now. It runs well. All of my pets, from senior dogs and cats to puppies and kittens and even a parrot have all enjoyed using this.The stainless steel is easy enough to clean. A steel wool scrub removes water deposits quite easily. It holds a lot of water and offers both a bowl as well as a flow of water to drink from. The exposed water can evaporate quickly, so it needs filling every other day or so. I have replaced the pump twice in the years I’ve had this fountain.My biggest complaint is how hard it is to clean water deposits from the plastic parts, especially the top piece that controls water flow. I haven’t found an effective method beyond gouging deposits out with a knife tip. It’s annoying and time-consuming and the black pieces never look clean.For a future fountain, I’d definitely want glass, ceramic, or stainless steel where the water flows. They are far easier to fully clean and maintain. I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of this fountain. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I don’t regret purchasing it.

Our old cat died (age 18) but the fountain is still working and used daily by the other two cats and the dog (I can’t believe we thought we’d be able to stop her from drinking from the cats fountain)Edit to add… July 2020 Still going strong. Great purchase!We bought this to please our older cat who only liked drinking from the bathroom sink tap, and he’d want you to turn the tap on and leave the room before he’d drink. So after moving to a new house with wall mounted sink and watching him struggle to perch on the edge we thought we better find a better way. We researched a few fountains and decided on this one. We have had it for a month now and are very pleased with it. It does require topping up everyday and I wash it once a week but it’s no more work than a regular dish of water. Less, perhaps, because if you forget to fill it the poor cat isn’t going without water. The only downside is that it is quite large, about 13″ in diameter and obviously needs to be near a plug in. It isn’t very loud, doesn’t annoy me anyway (and I’m someone who gets annoyed with noises).Best of all, our cats both love it. The old cat drinks out of it, never asks to drinks out of the sink anymore. Both of them drink right of the top where the water comes out. The younger cat also treats it as his personal water playground and it isn’t unusual to find him asleep with his head against it or his paw in it. Sometimes he puts his toys in it and then fishes them out.It was worth the money and we don’t regret purchasing it at all. As long as it lasts at least a year we will replace it will the same model.

Didn’t realise seller was in the US.This product is Not UK compliable. Has a completely different plug on it. Does not fit and UK SOCKETS. Alot of money to buy and cost me nearly as much to return it. Anyone in the UK DO NOT BUY IT.

La fuente es silenciosa y solo hay que tener cuidado de mantener un nivel adecuado de agua (arriba de la última fila de orificios) para evitar daños en la bomba. Tiene un filtro para partículas pequeñas (tierra, piedrecillas), pero no es de carbón activado, aunque esto se resuelve fácilmente usando agua purificada de garrafón. No salpica hacia afuera, ni se resbala hacia ningún lado. Es un poco difícil de desarmar, así que es mejor darle al menos una buena enjuagada una vez por semana, ya que al ser de acero inoxidable se garantiza que no habrá absorción de olores ni sabores. Recomendable desarmarla y lavarla bien mensualmente, con jabón para trastes.

When I unboxed this package the bowl had water marks as if it had been used before.When I tried to return it is not eligible for return. So I thought let me try it anyway and it only worked for 2 minutes and stopped working and now I am stuck with it, very disappointed
