The stream of water is adjustable!! There is a tiny switch on the motor.
This fountain works well. I was concerned at first because the stream of water was sort of strong and it freaked out my cat (doesn’t take much). I wanted to turn the flow down but there was nothing in the instruction book about doing that. I asked the question to the community here on Amazon and every answer said you could not change the flow of water. Well I studied the matter a little more and found a tiny little switch on the motor with a “+” symbol and a “-” symbol. If you move the switch to the minus symbol you restrict the flow of water so that solves the problem. I just wanted to let people know this.My cat is still not drinking out of it as she is used to the faucet in the bathroom. She has gotten to the point where she won’t drink water out of a bowl she only wants us to turn the faucet on for her. So we bought this thinking that it looks like a faucet. It’s only been a few hours so hopefully she’ll use it soon. But I think it’s a good product so I’m giving it five stars.UPDATE – It’s been 3 days and the cat finally started using it. So hopefully she will like it and continue to use it and stop hanging out on the bathroom vanity. I had the flow turned down as far as it would go. This seemed to cause the stream to splash and make noise and also splash out onto the floor. I decided to try increasing the flow and now it’s very quiet and not splashing. Hopefully this won’t cause my cat to not like it as much. We’ll see.Update – it’s been several months now and our cat still likes it. It seemed a little low to the ground for her. So I made a little wooden thing to lift it up higher. She seems to like it even better now.

A MUST HAVE for all sink drinking felines
In all the years I’ve been ordering items on amazon, I’ve never written a review. Why? I never had a life changing product to rave about. NowI do.I have a 11 year old tuxedo cat who may be one of the PICKIEST felines you’ve ever encountered. As I’m sure many folks are aware, cats require a ton of water to prevent health issues. When I adopted Teresa, she was on an all dry food diet and would only drink out of the sink and/or bath tub. Naturally, you can’t just keep a sink running unattended so I searched far and wide for a fountain that she would drink out of.Over the past eight years, I’ve tried half a dozen fountains ranging from $20-$75 with no luck. Either she’d use it for a day and lose interest— returning to meowing in the tub or on the sink— or completely ignore the fountain all together.I came across this fountain in March after a routine wellness exam. The vet stressed the importance of Teresa drinking more water as she has kidney disease. I immediately hopped online to see what was on the market and thought I’d give this fountain a shot. My hope was the design would create the same affect as the sink. I swapped out her previous fountain (one of those flower ones) and crossed my fingers.After 3 months with this fountain, I just knew I had to write a review. It took a day or two for her to get comfortable with the new fountain, but she hasn’t jumped in the tub or on the sink ONCE since I bought this for her. She is drinking far more water than ever before!!The moral of the story, if you have a cat who is an avid sink drinker, BUY THIS FOUNTAIN. It truly is a lifesaver.The price point isn’t terrible and the filters aren’t much more costly than filters I’ve used in the past (the filters for this Fountain come in a 3 pack for roughly $10). Assembly was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes.Cleaning is simple as well. I Disassemble and clean the entire fountain at least once every 2 weeks as it is white (she is a black cat) and for peace of mind. At the end of the month, I disassemble the unit (it’s 2 plastic pieces plus the pump), clean and sanitize it. Next, I change out the filter. Lastly, I place the pump in a cup of warm water mixed with a packet of dishwasher cleaner and let it run for 2-5 minutes. This keeps the pump clean and removes any substances that may of gotten trapped inside.It isn’t a large piece nor does it make any noise when filled. As the water begins to run low, it can get nosy but once you fill it back up, it gets quiet again.I do recommend keeping a mat underneath for any spillage. accidents happen and as this is an open design, water can easily spill out and create a mess on your floor. It’s only happened to me twice and both times were my fault, not Teresa’s (klutzy human here).I truly cannot recommend this fountain enough. It has changed both my life and Teresa’s. Don’t waste your money on nicer looking fountains. This may seen basic but it seems to be exactly what cats who like sink water want and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters!

Very very quiet. No audible motor sounds or water sounds on low. Good flow even at low speed. Was easy to put together.Update: It’s been a year and half and still going strong. Overall both me and the cat like it and I haven’t found a similarly designed fountain to test but I’ve deducted one star just because I feel there are some very obvious design flaws that could be easily fixed.1. The ‘faucet’ should really be one molded piece or it should be easy to snap apart and put back together. Stuff gets crusted along the seams and there is really no war to clean at the top or inside the entirety of the pipe.There are also weird notches and nodes within it that make it harder to clean. I’ve been able to keep it clean enough for my cat to drink out of but it takes a lot of work and there is permanent calcium deposits on the seams.2. They really need a way to unplug the unit at the base so you don’t need to drag the cord with you3. The charcoal filters should have replacements for just the inside charcoal bits. The only replacements I’ve found replace the entire plastic filter which is really wasteful4. The design of the motor, It’s mostly easy to clean but has some weird cut out areas that you need to get in with a toothpick sometimes to get the gunk out. Once again, if they had just made those areas solid plastic it would greatly simplify things.

I had done a lot of research looking for the right fountain for my kitty, and this one has met all of my expectations. It’s easy to put together, and easy to dismantle for cleaning and maintenance. It comes with instructions on how to keep it running well. The filters are easy to install (need to purchase separately from the fountain, but it does come with one filter to start) as well. Although I had hoped he would drink from the spout (as he likes to drink from the kitchen sink) he has taken to drinking from the basin well and I am content knowing he has a fresh source of water at all times. The motor has various speeds, although I recommend putting it on the second lowest one – we tried the lowest and it was too noisy and made more of a mess by splashing onto the floor. It’s quiet and relatively aesthetically pleasing so it fit into our home well. I had noticed that sometimes it takes several minutes for the water to start coming through the spout after you’ve cleaned it, but eventually it will run through.

I purchased the Pioneer pet water fountain around five months ago, and can comfortably say that it has been the best water drinking device I’ve purchased for my cat.Firstly, the fountain is basic and elegant in style – unlike almost every other that is either too large and cumbersome, or looks an eyesore in the house. Secondly, it is quiet, really quiet, almost silent, yet provides a good stream of water and flow for almost any small animal or even a dog. It comes with an excellent charcoal filter that easily slots over the pump, and helps to keep contamination from the drinking water. These are easily purchased separately, as you will need to change this at least once a month to make sure your water stays clean and this system works correctly.It’s also relatively easy to clean, which is important. As with any water supply system, it requires regular cleaning and maintenance, that is simple and straightforward with a sterile brush and mild soap. I’d recommend getting some small pull-through brushes to clean through the spout and inlet to the motor, which I’ve just started doing in order to maintain performance and prolong the life of the device.I’d also like to add that I’ve found the after-sales customer service from this seller to be excellent. But, most importantly of all, my cat loves this. He has actually increased his water intake since we’ve had it, and even prefers it to the holy grail of feline hydration, the tap in the sink.

Pues es muy silenciosa y estéticamente monisima.A mis niños les encantópero!!!!La bomba se ve de mala calidad (tengo otras 5 fuentes y las comparé).La conexión es via usb como un celular, por eso me preocupa que al lavar la bomba pudiese caer agua y corroer la entrada USB.Al conectarla por primera vez tronó y se quemó el conector a la luz (la parte que tiene el enchufe) asi que use uno de un celular que tenia y todo funcionó.Otra cosa que no me termina de gustar es que el limpiar el interior de la porción que parece grifo no es fácil, tendría que hacerse con un limpia pipas porque es inalcanzable con otra cosa.El filtro se ve muy sencillo y tendré que ver qué tan bien funciona vs. Otras marcas como Drinkwell.Definitivamente si busca estética y efecto de chorro de grifo esta es una buena opción, si busca durabilidad, calidad y confianza…. Creo que otra marca como Drinkwell es una mejor opción.
