Good Price, Good Product
EDIT: This leash lasted for about a year and a half of HARD use before giving up the ghost. My dog and I walk in a nearby hilly meadow where she chases squirrels, lizards, and bugs constantly which means this leash got a serious workout, going out to its full length many times, before the nylon lead broke away from the handle. As far as I’m concerned, a year and a half is a good lifespan for a leash when used like that. Never once did the brake fail or the lead fail to retract completely. I now have a second dog and will re-order two more.ORIGINAL POST: Been using it for a couple of months and it hasn’t screwed up or gotten frayed even when the leash gets dragged through bramble bushes and over rough ground.

Love the long leash
Great product! I’ve purchased this same leash a couple times now. I love the length which gives my doggo the room she needs to explore while walking the neighborhood. Lasts a long time at least a year and a half, normal wear and tear using this multiple times a day every day.

Great for a Hound dog!
My Basset Hound puppy enjoys sniffing everything while taking her on a walk.16′ retractile was just too short, I needed +25′ to give her freedom to range back and forth as we walked down the driveway. This 28-29′ allows me to walk comfortably, and her plenty of running room to sniff ‘do-her-thing’ then recall to me. Basset hounds are difficult to train to stay relatively close, this is just right IMHO.The quality is fine, retraction is fine, even with the flat tape units, if you let them get all twisted up – well, of course it’s gonna give you grief. Just pull it back out, and allow it to feed back in straight.I bought 2x of them, one for the truck, and one for the house. I know, where ever we go, I’ll have a solid retractable lease with me. (Also have 2x 16′ units, which are lighter, but not getting much use anymore).

Good retractable leash for a good price!
This leash is a great value for the money. I have a 80lb BlackMouth Cur that is incredibly strong. She is a service animal but when not working she likes to act like a normal dog. She pulls sometimes and can pull me over if she really wanted too (when she was younger she did now she’s 13yrs old). I’m 6′ 175lbs and I can plant my feet and still go over just to give you an idea of her strength, but with this lead she seems to not do any of that because she usually does it just to go smell something and with 20+ feet of lead there is plenty of room for that. I am not sure that it would hold up to a large or extra large dog that was a constant puller or yanker, better yet I can say with confidence I wouldn’t trust it for certain dogs. It is nice and strong its woven well the actual leash part. There is a good connector and a metal director for the cord. ONLY issue I have had is that when far out it won’t retract sometime you have to twist the leash physically to get it to straighten out so the cable can retract but other than that its great.

I got this leash a few years back and after almost a year of use my dog chewed through the line (she is a strong chewer). I got a different leash but it did not compare. I found this product again and ordered it right away. I would definitely recommend this product. I like the way you can lock the line but still let your dog wander when you want to.

Cheap plastic locking mechanism
I used this to walk a 21 pound dog less than 2 blocks when the locking mechanism broke. You can hear the piece of plastic that must have broke off rattling around inside the case. I did like the nice wide tape used for the line. The ease of use was good. However the plastic locking mechanism seems quite flimsy and broke very easily. It seemed a good price but you get what you pay for. Had a similar retractable leash for over 2 years of daily walking. The lead line was wearing out so I ordered one to replace it before it broke. Back to using the one that is wearing out. Very disappointed. Cost me almost as much as the leash to return this.

Ich lebe mit ner Menge Hunden und doppelt so vielen Flexi-Leinen. Keine davon macht beim Ein- oder Ausziehen ein merkliches Geräusch. Die hier hingegen produziert eine amtliche Kulisse für die Ohren und kratzt bei nem eigentlich entspannten Spaziergang erheblich an den Nerven. Als wäre das Ausgang für den Gurt einfach zu schmal geraten. Die Qualität ist sonst absolut super aber so funktioniert das Produkt nicht für mich. Wollte eine Alternative zur mittleren Flexi in dem gruseligen Neon-Gelb nur eben keine die die ganze Zeit mit mir spricht.
