Wonderful backup box for upper level in a two story home!!
So far so good! Will have had one week tomorrow. Must note this was purchased as a second litter box for an older cat. She is 15 and belongs to my sister and bro in law, I live in the upper level of their home. Mazie has been mourning the loss of her companion, Foxie the Pom, who passed 3yrs ago and was the same age. Zada the new Pom has now been here almost 3yrs and was quite the pup on arrival. In the last month or so Mazie seems to have blossomed once again. She has started visiting me upstairs(staying sometimes to get a break from young Zada who I sometimes call the “Warden” as she is very protective of her Mazie) The comfort of having her not worried about making it downstairs to her main litter box is worth every penny! The box is not huge but is spacious as she has always been a very petite cat. Scooped today and was very easy to clean. Did not have an over pungent smell, just want to keep on top of it for her comfort. She took to the new box immediately as needed as well as continuing to frequent her main box downstairs. This is perfect for our special girl moving into the next phase of her life!

I got this since I was using top loaders and my cat got arthritis. This was the cheapest and I kinda wish I had shelled out a bit more personally.It seems to stay/get smellier than my toploader, I am not sure if it is the material or the shape. The little scent thing in the top does not seem to do much.I never use the doors on these since it tends to freak cats out, and I believe the manual recommends not using them for certain sizes.It is decently small, so unless you have scrawny cats or only kittens there will probably be some spillage.Urine has not leaked out yet, though, which tends to be a big issue on some like this.The mat is…not really helpful as a mat. It might work better if you put it against the wall to protect that from spray etc. It has no grip and is really flimsy, but i have separate litter mats.

The construction is good. The top fits well on the base and prevents liquid from leaving the box around the two sides and the back. The entrance in the front is somewhat low so cleaning litter by shaking the litter from back to front is likely to spill out, so it is better to shake from side to side.There was no instruction sheet included in the shipment, and the only paper in the package was shipping information.My main complaint concerns that the step at the front of the entrance and the swinging door are not as shown on the website picture of the upgraded black box.The step shown on the website shows a step that is the full height of the entrance level, but it is instead a low step as shown in views of other older models.The swinging door is shown on the website to be shortened below the pivot point which gives the cat more room to maneuver once inside the box, but the door supplied is full depth instead.Both of these features as shown on the website were preferred by me and were the reasons for selecting this particular model.Ihave opted to not use the swinging door since my almost 10 pound cat has a box of her own now and my older and very much bigger 17 pound “alpha” cat would not share it with her, but he won’t fit in this box.I haven’t attached the clamps to hold the top and bottom together and I hope this will not be necessary. I have to remove the top for cleaning for litter cleaning frequently anyway. If you need to carry the box with litter in it, it is easy to carry by gripping the lower box where the clamps would be. This is an advantage of a small and short litterbox.

This Kitty box is the only enclosed narrow box that will fit in my bathroom. I do not have much space at my place so this works great for the size and the features I was looking for. I need it about a 1/4 inch narrower, however this has some flexibility, so I can make it work for the space designated. My kitty likes her box, and has no issues using it, which is important. This is the second box I’ve ordered, the other one wore out on us. Tip: do not use the handle to try and carry a full box, it will break, so…. I baby my kitty box, being mindful of the plastic limits.

No Instructions – Just watch the Video
It took a while to get the latches connected but don’t use too much pressure, they will break. There are no instructions at all so I resorted to the video on Amazon and finally figured it out. There is no mention of the steps latch, it is the piece left over after you assemble the box. It slides down the insides of the opening and stops on top of the steps. The top of my box has a filter, not an opening. I am glad. I prefer the filter. No instructions how to replace it or clean it but I will figure it out. It’s easy to clean and if it gets too smelly I can put it in the tub/shower (once the litter is removed) and hose it out. The best part is that box fits perfectly between our toilet base and the sink cabinet. The steps are a cute feature but cats can get in and out with out steps. All in all I am pleased with it.

Perfect for small spaces
It was exactly what I was needing! Needed a smaller narrow litter box and it’s perfect came with a scooper that hooks into the side I recommend to anyone needing a smaller box with lid

Overall Nice Litter box!
Smaller than expected, but my cats still used it, even the overweight guy. The step is cute. Easy to assemble. Fast shipping. It’s also a nicer looking litter box. Cats haven’t complained.
