It’s a good little Dremel and it gets the job done. It is quieter than others that I’ve used and definitely less vibration which causes my dog to be less anxious. It’s not completely quiet and especially when you touch the nail. It still makes noise but it’s so much better. My dog has more tolerance during her nail trims now.

A good alternative for nail care at home
I bought this pet nail grinder for my dog and I really liked it because it’s quite quiet, which helps make the process less stressful for him. From the first use, I noticed that he doesn’t get scared like he does with other clippers. The size is just right, and the design allows for a good grip. The speed is gentle, which helps me file his nails with more control and without rushing. I also like that it’s rechargeable, as that makes it more convenient for daily use.

Not impressed
The heusom nail grinder is quieter and vibrates less than my Dremel, so my dog tolerates it better. However, there’s not a lot of power behind it, so It takes longer to grind my dog’s nails. He hates having his feet touched, so spending more time giving him a pawticure isn’t much better than my somewhat louder Dremel, which is quicker. Also, the charging port is a micro USB, rather than a c-type charger that’s come with every electronic device for the last few years, leading me to believe I’ve received an older unit. I don’t feel it’s worth the 40 bucks I spent to get a quieter unit that has less power than needed to get the job done properly. I’ll likely be sending it back.

Not bad, but could be better
The motor is truly quiet. However, when grinding my dogs nails it is loud. It does what it claims, but doesn’t mean it was useful for my dogs. My dogs are medium to large dogs. The space for the nails to get to the grinding wheel is a bit too small for them. I don’t feel it grinds any better than other brands or is any more powerful. I was hoping for a faster grinding experience for my dogs. It’s better to cut their nails and use the devices to round the edges smooth. It works fine for small dogs and I want to try on my cats, so maybe it will be a treasure.12-28-25 updateI did realize after my earlier post, for larger nails to use the top. I find it weird, since it has a step on the top of the grinder, but I should have paid more attention. I tried it on one of my cats. She really fought me and cried, so I stopped to reassess. I decided to try it on my nails to see how it felt. It has a strong vibration on my nail and I can’t imagine my pets liking it. I am not totally giving up, but will only use to smooth after cutting their nails and for short periods. They already hate having their nails done so a mixture of the two might just shorten the job.

This product is advertised as stress free nail care for your dog. My dog absolutely freaks out when I come anywhere near him with this nail grinder. I have tried to desensitize him by approaching him with the grinder turned off and letting him sniff it and running it over his body, all while turned off. He bites the grinder and runs. He is a 18 month old lab/shepherd cross and is very chill normally but this grinder is not for him.

Its loud enough that my dogs were scared. The box claims it comes with a charging cable. My did not however. I will say it does work but it takes quite awhile especially when my dogs are scared of it. I have more success using normal nail clippers. Very disappointed

Not really good for bigger dogs. Opening pretty small for larger nails. And my dog is only medium size.
