My cats love this, but I ALSO love this. I have had this for some time now, it works fantastic.
I love that I was able to set up exact times, and exact amounts of food for my cats. I was free feeding them, but they were just eating too much. This also has a battery slot where you can place it for transport and not lose all your settings and you can also record a message in your voice that will play each time their scheduled food hits. My cats have the timings down to a science, they even sometimes sit near it before it’s about to go off, almost like they can tell time! Ha!

Great Cat Feeder, no issues after 2 years
I’ve had this Cat Feeder for 2 plus years. It’s absolutely great. Have had no issues with it, only have to refill once a month. The voice feature is funny, so you can record your voice to let you cat know food is being served.Portion control is easy and intuitive to set up.For the price, I’d highly recommend. Its reliability is much better than i expected

Better than traditional
I LOVE the convenience of this feeder. It works great. Easy to use and easy to clean. I like that I can adjust how much food and how often my cats are fed. It’s great for when I am traveling out of town or out late in the night. The downside is the clock tends to fall behind slowly. I have two feeders (one for each cat) and I have to reset the time on them about once a week to get them in sync again.

Good product. Works as advertised
Product is designed and built well. Snaps together very quickly and easily. It’s about the size of a coffee maker. Setting up the feeding times and portion sizes takes a little trial and error. It’s not difficult, you just have to learn the sequence of the buttons. There are only four buttons so its not too complicated. Instructions aren’t a great help with that. But once is it programmed, it works perfectly. I have two cats so I set up 2 feeding times per day with 5 portions per feeding. A portion is 15 grams of food. If will go up to six portions per feeding and you can have up to six meal times per day. After observing the feeder for a few days, I had to make some small adjustments to the portion size and frequency to find the right balance for my cats. And since I know how to program it, making adjustments only takes a few seconds. Now I’ve got it dialed in. BEWARE: the very first feeding will not be a full feeding because 2 of the 3 small food hoppers inside will be empty when its brand new out of the box. Just add a little extra food for the first feeding and the machine will do its thing perfectly for the second feeding and beyond. Not being aware of this caused me to make several unnecessary adjustments and over feed my cats. I have weighed the portions sizes on a food scale and the feeder does put out 15 grams per portion right down to the exact gram. Now I just fill the big hopper and forget about it. I’m very happy with this product. I highly recommend.

Wonderful Feeder!
My kitty was getting a bit fat, so I needed to reduce her food intake. It is a tad difficult to figure out the settings to figure out the amount of food. It’s easy enough to set the schedule, you just have to watch to see how much food drops down to figure out the portions you need. After some trial & error, I figured out she needed the least amount of food 3 times a day. This not only works to keep portion control, it works great for those who are not home. It’s perfect for cat owners! We can go away for a weekend and not worry about feeding (or over feeding) our cats. I chose this one as it has a power cord with a back-up battery. I have terrible luck with batteries (they always seem to be dead or die just when I need them) so it’s best for me to know I have a reliable power source. The batteries are for if the power goes out. I’ve had this for over 6 months with no issues at all. Also, the stainless steel dish removes easily for cleaning.

Better Than Expected!
For easier setup I recommend thoroughly reading the step by step instructions and watching the videos first. I ran the feeder for a few days on the batteries only (a little tricky to install) just to see how well it worked and it was flawless. I bought this feeder to use outdoors to feed my 3 feral cats whenever I’m away; of course it had to be contained in a raccoon proof container so I sat a sturdy plastic tub over the feeder (cutting a slit large enough for the feeding tray to stick through) and then sat an old work table on top of the tub. I covered each open side of the table with hardware mesh wire and sat heavy cinderblocks on top of the table and placed small bricks around the bottom edges.When I recently went out of town for a week I moved the container up against an outside wall near an outlet so I could plug it in using the battery as backup. I have a camera on the deck so could observe the cats eating in the daytime and the raccoons and opossums passing by during the night. My container contraption worked very well with only 2 of the small bricks on each side of the feeder tray having been moved by the raccoons. The tray and bottom edges of the tub were not even scratched or chewed on by the critters. I chose not to use the metal pan in the tray in case the raccoons wanted to take it. I had programmed the feeder to dispense food 3 times a day which gave the cats time to eat all the food before dark (8am – 9 servings, 9am – 9 servings and 3pm – 4 servings). 9 servings = approximately 1-1/4 cups so I measured and filled the dispenser to the top which was enough to feed the cats 3 times a day for 8 days. I highly recommend the PitPet automatic pet feeder!

The feeder keeps increasing the amount of food per serving. eg. I have each serving set at 1 but it dispenses 1 1/2 servings. I’ve tried resetting it but it’s still doing it.
