The best
Best litter box around, and we have tried them all. Just skip the nasty robot ones and the nasty plastic ones and get this. The only thing would be better is if the top was Steele too but haven’t had any issues with this one, it’s big and spacious, no smells, easy to clean, nice and simple. Happy kitty happy owners.

Best Cat Box I Have Owned
This is the best litter box I have ever owned. My cats love to dig to the bottom of the box and have always left deep scratches which over time led to the box holding odors no matter how much they were cleaned. This led to having to replace the boxes often which is very costly over time. Since this is stainless steel, there are no deep scratches to hold the odor. Mine didn’t come with the “included” filters, however I find that since I use good litter (Dr. Elsey’s Ultra UnScented Clumping Clay Cat Litter 40 lb. Bag) there is no lingering smell. I have four senior cats one is about 15 lbs and they all use this box with no issues. The included mat traps the litter better than any other mat I have used. I just wish it was a bit bigger. My cats do not like the door, so I had to break it off to remove it. I don’t know about the leaking as I have not had an issue with mine getting their urine that high in the box. The top is easy to lift for cleaning and sturdy enough for the cats to sit on it when closed.

This is an excellent litterbox, stainless, x-large…I have another similar one (2 boxes) I have 2 large Ragdoll cats…this is definitely the best litterbox I have ever had (over a 20 year span!) Nothing sticks to it, no smell…. Definitely worth the $$

Really great except
I really like that you get durability and odor resistance with the steel base yet you also have a hood to contain smell. The miniature waste pan is a smart design with the roll of bags nested inside but doesn’t work in reality because the pale/ bags are small and fill up too fast. I am bummed that the small pieces that stick out to support the roof ( exposed when you lift the top up to scoop) are very sharp and haven’t draw blood but are painful if you catch on it. Overall it’s a great litter box

Perfect size and good build quality
First of all I’m not sure how people are getting leaks with this. The design has a lip to prevent it from leaking with the proper amount of litter depth. Maybe they had too much or didn’t get it to latch all the way.Looks great and is very cheap for what you get, and seems to have a good amount of privacy with the tinted door.

I don’t think I’ve ever loved a litter box more! This is the ISH!!! Perfect large size, and SO easy to take apart and clean. My only complaint is that it comes with 2 rolls of poopie bags for the bin and the size of those baggies are not standard and no baggies that you can buy at Marshall’s etc will fit in the bin- they’re too small. So to use the bin you’ll have to special order the baggies prob on Amazon. Small complaint but I ran all over town trying to find poop baggies that were the proper size! Drove me crazy but oh well! Other than that, 5 stars!!!

Sticky, too narrow, less plastic please
Claims that wet litter won’t stick to the stainless steel are not true. Just as much litter/waste sticks to the tub as with a plastic tub. I use a clay-based clumping litter. I have a metal scoop and wet litter sticks to it like cement too. The stainless steel also scratches easily but not deep grooves like a plastic tub. Overall, I prefer a SS tub, but wish the tub were about 1″ deeper. It is easier to clean once you’ve removed all the litter but incredibly difficult to pour all the litter out for the monthly clean (regardless of plastic or metal). I’ve ordered a scoop.I searched for a covered box that was tall enough for my small 6.5-pound cat, this one says it is “18 inches tall” but is actually 17″ tall on the exterior, less inside; 19″ would be better. The bigger problem is that almost all litter boxes are too narrow (this one is 16″ wide exterior). To describe this as “extra large” would only be the case if your pet is a hamster. As boxes get wider they also get longer, generally jumping to 28″ deep from front to back. That’s perfect if your cat is a Maine Coon and doesn’t need to turn around. The ideal small cat dimensions would be 20″ wide x 22″ deep x 19″ tall, with a 7-8″ deep stainless steel tub. I was unable to find these dimensions is a covered box.The accessories are a waste of plastic. The plastic scoop holder was designed by someone who has never scooped a litter box (too narrow and tippy). It would be slightly more useful as a scoop holder if the bottom were sealed and the scoop were metal. At least this box didn’t come with a plastic “step” in front. I use a coir doormat in front that eliminates tracking and is compostable. As for the plastic 2-piece convertible top, the variable options are nice (open/half-height walls only/covered) and the swinging front flap is easily removed. The plastic, however, is super thin and seems brittle. I prefer a covered box so that things in my laundry room don’t accidentally fly into the litter box, plus a top can be used as a temporary surface. My cat couldn’t care less about these attributes.
