Occasionally, an animal can be sound sensitive to the sound of the clicker. Never fear, we have you covered! Click when you put the animal’s dinner down. Click when you open the door to take the animal out. Click, of course, when you hand the animal any treat! —still having trouble? You can wrap some tape around the handle to muffle the sound a bit at first.

Perfect for my cats
Nice satisfying click that is definitely not too loud for cats. My boys are 6.5 months old and the first thing I’m teaching them is to boop the end of the stick with their nose with the command “Boop!” They picked up the Boop very quickly (by day 2) and I’m so excited to teach them more commands based on the Boop with this clicker.

Using it with my cats – works well, not too loud, wish it came in a small size
The pandemic has been a time of change for us all. My big entertainment has been figuring out if my cats are trainable. Spoiler alert: They are. This clicker was recommended as a good one for cats, it’s not as loud as some, very sturdy (our cats have already tried to gnaw on it because when the clicker comes out, so do the treats, ergo the clicker must be full of treats). I love that it’s extendible. Our cats actually pay more attention to the little ball at the end of the extended stick than to my hand gestures. Given the number of times I’ve shaken my finger at them, no wonder. Anyway, the only thing I wish is that this was smaller. It’s so large it sticks out of my hand, and I’d rather the cats not focus on it as a visual, that they listen to the click and watch my other hand. Nothing I didn’t know before I bought it – not a reason for docking it a star, it’s user incompetence and small hands, not the clicker’s fault – but Karen Pryor, if you’re reading this, I’d love to buy a more compact version. For anyone wondering: Yes, the cats are trainable. They know high five, over, up, sit, here, and circle. However, being cats, or maybe being our spoiled cats, they will only do these actions when it suits them, and when heavily fortified by treats.

Great target for cats. Holding up under daily use.
Both my cats have learned tricks with clicker training and it’s fun for me too. Way better than pulling a string with a feather attached to it while they chase it till they get bored. I used the ‘trick training for cats’ book I got from Amazon with this clicker target stick and it was very effective. The clicker is not to loud, it’s easy press and realiable. The wand part is wobbly but has not come apart and my fur kids have pulled, chewed and slapped the target while we learn. I also expand and contract the wand part during our play time repeatedly – but never out all the way – just in case cause of that wobble. It’s holding up. Recommended. I would get another one if this one ever broke but it is admittedly pricey.

I Recommend This For All Animal Trainers!
I’m a cat trainer, and this is my FAVORITE clicker to use because it combines a clicker and target stick all in one! It’s great for when you need to teach an animal to go from one place to another, and when you want some distance to avoid any playful aggression. The telescoping target is easy to use. It’s a good weight, easy to hold, and it has a clip on the back so you can put it onto your pants easily. I find the clicker is just the right volume, not too loud and intimidating. I have 4 of these at home, and I recommend them to all my clients who want to use it to train their cats.

Great for reptiles, too!
I purchased this to clicker/target train my young tegu for feeding. It is FANTASTIC. I have to have a hand free to dispense the food, so having the clicker and the target in one item is stupendous. The target also got an immediate response. From the very first time I showed my tegu the target, he’s been attacking it like it owes him money (this will sound weird to the dog owners looking at this, but the object here is to train a large reptile’s food response onto a target so that they ONLY attack the target when they’re hangry—so yes, attacking the target is exactly what I want). I don’t know if it’ll hold up when he’s full grown, but so far, it’s been doing it’s job wonderfully, and I’ve already been recommending it to other large reptile keepers.

Very mid
It’s just a mid clicker. It’s not as loud or satisfying to click as a cheaper one. It’s like a muted click, and the button is bit hard to push. I got this because it had the target stick attached. I had clickers. I don’t really like this clicker. It feels cheap in my hand, but it does what it’s supposed to.

Delightful
This is the second time I have purchased this product. The first time was two years ago, and I cannot begin to describe the joy this has brought to our family. We use it just for fun, having our dogs jump high and “touch” for a click reward and a treat. The dogs love it and come running whenever we pull it out. One of our dogs (a rescue) was wild and crazy when we first got her, full of pent-up energy. This has been a simple, delightful way to give her attention and get out some of her excess energy. She needs predictability to feel secure, and playing “touch” has become one of her favorite routines. If a dog can look happy, she certainly does. Our two boys have done most of the training with this, and it’s so rewarding and easy that they love doing it.Our first of these target sticks eventually broke after two years of hard use (the telescoping metal broke off at one of the joints), but we easily got more than out money’s worth out of it and I had no problem spending the money on a replacement.

Great investment for bird owners
It’s great way to give my birds treats and to know what kind of mood they’re in for the day as well.

Ich habe schon einige Clicker gehabt, doch dieser ist in der Handhabung, Qualität und was auch für mich wichtig ist, von der Tonalität des “Clicks” der Beste. Es ist ein warmer Ton, der nicht schrill und kühl ist.
