Great for bored cats!
I highly recommend this for your cats that need something to do besides mess with your laptop or beg for treats. I work from home, and leave this plugged in. Once you turn it on once (I use the purple setting) it turns on automatically once every hour or so. It’s often enough to catch their attention and get them to play but not too much to get tired of it. Even my overweight cats are getting exercise now. When I need to take a call, I can pop it on manually to keep them busy. It’s quiet and subtle, and it works best on a low table. Holds up and well worth the price.

Great cat toy!
My cats love this! And I’m so impressed by this product. The motion sensor is fabulous. Great operation modes. It is charged with a USB cable and has great battery life. Since it doesn’t need an outlet I can put it anywhere. It really does a great job of doing a random motion that keeps my cats entertained. It was so great to get such a great product. I saw this advertised on a pet gift list and so glad I got it.

Great, but could be so much better.
This is really just excellent. Provides so much entertainment for the kittles. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is bc there aren’t enough options. I’d pay an Additional 10-20 bucks for these options:1) How many times it can be activated by motion sensor within the idle time frame (currently can only be activated once after initially turning it on—the cats can’t get any more out of it than the one time they activate it while I’m gone. The rest of the day I’m at work it’s pointless. Should ideally have the option of 1, 3, 5, 10, or unlimited times—would go well with the later-mentioned Duration option).2) Whether initial turn-on activates it (currently does; would prefer the option so it doesn’t waste battery when they’re not ready to play but I wanna put it on standby for after I leave).3) Duration: I’d like to have the option to change activation duration between 1, 5, 10 or 15 minutes. 15m would be used the least as it’s a bit gratuitous—they’re usually done after 10 at most. This would also save battery and allow for more activations, if there was an option for number of activations).4) Motion-activation range: Depending on the size of the room etc, it may be more beneficial to have the range shorter if it’s a small room so it’s not activated when they’re not interested but just going about their business yet in the way of its range. And yet, for a big room, longer range may be necessary if cats don’t generally go to one area but a lot of other space is inconvenient due to location.But for what it is, it’s a fair value; I’ve already recommended it for 2 people since having it for 36 hours.Would be happy to gift my current one if a new version comes out with these options.

My cat’s ‘go to’ toy!
This toy is definitely five stars for me. I’ve tried other lasers—the pencil type (too small and dim a dot,) and another automated one (too small and fast,) but this one has the best features. The dot is larger and brighter, and the 3 different speed modes are great for variety. The best part for my cat is the motion detection timer. She can play during the night if she wants, and she does!My experience with customer service was excellent. The battery stopped working at a little over a year (the warranty didn’t have a time limit at the time I bought this,) and Jessica was prompt and polite in responding to my email, and sent out a replacement for free without having to do a return.Despite the fact that the battery failed after a year (who knows why,) it’s provided my cat with a lot of fun and I would buy it again.

My hard-to-please cat is obsessed.
This thing is AMAZING! It keeps my cat entertained for hours. He will literally knock my picture frames off the wall until I get up to turn it on for him. He’s a very active boy, but also the type of cat who usually gets sick of a toy after a few days, maybe even hours. But not this one. He has been obsessed for weeks. If you cat loves to play laser, they will LOVE this toy. The best part is that it’s basically silent…a lot of other automatic toys I’ve tried are obnoxiously loud. All around perfect and worth every penny!

YVE LIFE Laser Cat toy
I finally found a toy that my cat will go crazy over. I’ve tried so many other toys, like those flapping birds (that don’t really fly around!) but he never paid much more than a few minutes attention when I first gave them to him. After the initial curious few minutes, he’d just leave them alone. But this laser toy has been great. Before I got this I would use a handheld laser pointer to have him chase the little red dot but that was hard on my fingers. I charged this unit up, put it up on my dresser and turned it on and the chase was on! It’s great that it runs in random patterns for 15 minutes and then shuts off for 2 hours. My 5 year old boy will chase the dot all over the room, sometimes crouch to attack it and overall have a great time. I’ve found that the charge will last about 2 weeks with me making it turn on about 2 times a day. I don’t know how durable the unit is but I hope it lasts a long time because I’m so glad I got something that I can turn on when I leave the house and I know he’s happy and playing.

My Cat Is Obsessed
I got this laser toy for my cat thinking it’d be just another thing she ignores… but nope. She’s hooked. The random movement is actually legit—it doesn’t just go in circles like some cheap ones. It keeps her guessing and running around like a little maniac, which is perfect for burning off her zoomies.Setup was super easy, and it’s quiet enough that I can leave it on while I’m doing homework or watching TV. It’s also great for when I’m not home and want her to stay entertained.One con though: it works best in open spaces. If you’ve got a lot of furniture or clutter, the laser sometimes gets blocked or stuck pointing at a wall.

This is the best automatic laser cat toy I’ve ever had. I’ve been through a fair few of them to come to your verdict.KEY NOTES for those with issues:1. Motion detection issues: the motion detection only works once you have turned it on & left it alone. That lets it go into standby.2. If the laser toy is too fast, press the button to the yellow mode as that’s the slow mode. It has it on the picture & instructions.3. Not all cats love lasers. One of my cats love it, the other just ignores it completely. Toys always depend on the cat’s personality.Pros:- No noise when the head moves with the laser (this has been an issue on most laser toys!).- It has motion detection! It’s definitely within 4 metres as the toy goes off when I am further away walking down the hallway.- 3 different modes. Yellow for slow, purple for random and red for cat zoomies 😂 this is also rare to find in laser toys, so thank you for actually having it be random and have different modes.My cat absolutely loves the reds & purple modes and pounces at the light when it’s closer to her.- easy to charge- pretty durable. I’ve accidentally knocked it off our coffee table twice already 😔 and it’s still going really well!Cons:- battery life doesn’t last longer than a day.But this is because if it’s in a frequently walked by area then it will be going off all the time and the battery will die.- nothing else!Recommended upgrades/fixes:- Longer standby time/different standby modes:-Maybe a second button where you could cycle through standby mode options? You could set it for 4 or 6 hours if your cat isn’t as active and it stops it going off all the time when you only have a small area for it to be in.- different standby modes would increase the battery life as well.- include in the video on how to adjust the laser inside- a 4 or 5 interaction modes:-I would love to see one that’s like a stalk & catch mode. One where it’s slowly moving around but then stops & pauses… 5 to 10 seconds. Enough for the cat to pounce at it.I would like to see this in a second version of the random mode as well. Maybe stalk & catch slow & random modes.

This thing rules. My cat absolutely loves it. My favorite part is how quiet it is as my old one sounded like a concrete mixer, you can’t even hear this one! Also this one does the random path so the cat doesn’t get board as quick. Definitely recommend this to anyone for their cat. Can’t speak to battery life, but I just leave it plugged in for constant power. Construction feels pretty solid. It’s worth it just for how quiet it is.

I wasn’t sure how my cat would react to this, but she was hooked within minutes. The laser moves in different patterns so it doesn’t feel repetitive, and it actually keeps her chasing and jumping instead of getting bored right away.I love that it turns on with motion and runs on its own when I’m busy. It’s been great for burning off extra energy, especially in the evenings.Battery life has been solid so far and it feels well made. Easily one of the best toys I’ve bought for my cat.
