Great retractable leash
Super easy to use and my dog hasn’t been able chew thru it … yet. Juno has tried chewing on it and so far so good. It took her less than 2 hours to get thru the last one I had. She’s spent more than that trying o this one and there isn’t even a tiny rip in it. Definitely would recommend. Poop bag holder purchased separately.

Chew problem solved!!
My 18 month old cocker spaniel chewed through every leash I tried. This retractable 26’ leash with two chew proof ends is the solution! It came with two plastic coated cables. He keeps one attached to his collar at all times, and the other is attached to the end of the retractable leash. After he’s chased geese, and is good and muddy, he jumps into the back of my truck into his crate and I can quickly disconnect him from the main leash, and leave the other leash in place. Connecting him up for a walk has never been easier and he loves the 26 foot length of the retractable leash! Money well spent. I don’t think you can go wrong. I’m sold. I don’t think I will ever have to buy another leash!

Love the chew-proof cable
OK, this is a little odd, and I hope none of you have to deal with this, but 3 weeks ago I was on the deck with our puppy. She went into the yard, then saw a squirrel. I didn’t have time to react before she pulled me through the picket fence and onto the ground, about 9 ft to the ground. The leash held together better than I did! While I recover with my volleyball sized hematoma from the fall, I thought I’d write my review. The leash is fine, but the metal cable extender broke and is not repairable.The retractable mechanism on the leash doesn’t retract as well as I think it should, but maybe that’s because of the weight of the chew-proof extension? All that aside, I would buy this again and recommend it to others! Don’t mind me, I’m just over here trying to get this hematoma to go away…

Great idea, technology isn’t there yet
The idea for this type of leash is great, but this didn’t work. I chose this leash because it was supposed to be good for dogs up to 110 lbs, had anti-chewing cables and was tangle free. My growing puppy was 25-40 lbs during the time she used it. One of the two anti-chewing cords broke at the loop the first week I received it. The second anti-chewing cord broke less than 6 weeks after receiving it, again at the loop. Other than that, the flat leash gets twisted and doesn’t always retract well vs. the round leash on my previous retractable leash. When the anti-chewing cord is attached, the clips on each end make the leash too heavy to retract properly (most of the time), causing slack in the leash. This causes my pup to get her legs/feet tangled in the leash and also gets her closer to the part of the leash that she CAN chew on and damage.Overall, great idea.. but I wish I would have selected something different. Now it’s too late to get a refund- and while I still have a retractable leash, I do not have the anti-chewing capability that I spent the extra money on when I purchased this item.

Unchewable leash disappoints dog!
My all time favorite purchase! I went through so many dog leashes because my dog would constantly chew on leashes as we walked. Trying to chew through was her goal. She loved the freedom of running wild! She learned real quick that it wasn’t going to happen with this leash!

This leash locks too easily by itself. I would not recommend it.
I was so excited to finally find a leash that is much longer than most,26 feet to be exact. When it arrived I quickly attached it to my energetic black lab and off we went for our daily walk. I had been looking for a leash that allows my lab to run further and 26 feet is awesome. However, there are a few issues with this leash that makes it unusable.1) The locking mechanism that keeps the leash from giving more slack just locks by itself. I kept having to manually unlock it. I did it over 30 times in a 10 minute walk. That is a major pain.2) The mechanism used to draw the leash back in is very weak causing the excess slack to drag on the ground and worse, gets tangled up in the dogs feet. I would have to manually pull the leash in and feed it into the housing.I did love the fact that it has a cable “leader” like they use to catch sharks. My lab was unable to chew through it like he did on the other leashes. That is a HUGE plus. But the other issues were too hard to overlook. I did return it to Amazon.What would make this leash AMAZING and the best on the market would be to build a more robust locking feature that does not constantly lock by itself. Use a much stronger mechanism to draw the excess back in.

The anti chew wire robes are very useful and can be matched with other leashes. The leash handle for this product is large and heavy, so l do not use it. I use the wire robes with other dog leashes.
