No more early morning wake-up calls!
After the death of our older cat, we finally decided to do something about our other cat’s habit of waking us up at 0430 to eat. She is definitely food motivated, and it would have been impossible to use a feeder of any kind when the other cat was still alive– she would have eaten everything before he even got to the food bowl!Anyway– we researched feeders on Amazon, and this Petlibro one seemed like a good choice. Got the 4L size because of only one cat. We were really pleased when it arrived; it is attractive, and the programming was fairly intuitive (could always use more directions, but we figured it out!). We tested the portion size a couple of times as the described quantities didn’t match up exactly with what came out, but it was easy enough to customize the dispensed amount to our needs. The locking function is really nice–it makes sure no kitty ‘investigation’ will result in accidental dispensing of food! And so far, there haven’t been any issues with our cat being able to take off the lid of the food reservoir, etc.Our cat paired with this feeder almost immediately, and best news of all, in just a few days, she doesn’t meow for food at 0430 anymore! She waits in front of the Petlibro, and it takes care of feeding her! We will gradually push back her feeding times by 5 minute increments over the next weeks to get her used to a more reasonable time to eat, but in the meantime, it is really nice to be able to sleep past 0430. Finally! And it’s nice to have her dinner time scheduled as well in case we are late getting home, etc.Thank you so much, Petlibro, for a great pet feeder!

Over all great feeder, but do NOT use the included collars
I got these before I went on an extended vacation so I didn’t have to worry about bothering others to come and feed my cats. Also I enjoy not being woken up an hour before my alarm because someone got a little over excited for breakfast. I enjoyed regular feeders for a while before one of my cats needed prescription food. In order to make sure everyone ate what they were supposed to, I needed RFID.The app is very easy to use and set up with the feeders. I do wish there was a setting to program each feeder dispense time at the same time rather than one by one. I can see why some cats have difficulty with the shape of the bowl, but all three of mine are ravenous hyenas that will happily smash their face against the open lid to push it back and access the back of the bowl.I do NOT recommend using the provided collars. They are not breakaway and I had difficulty opening them even with pain and weakness free hands. The issue is that the RFID tag comes pre-installed on those collars, making you HAVE to open them to be able to put them on another collar. So it would be nice if either they packed them separately or, more preferably, consider the safety of our cats and make their collars breakaway. They do include a ring to be able to put it on your preferred collar.My cats took to them immediately, but I’ve used RFID feeders before, so they were used to waiting for the lid to open. The lid can be VERY slow, even on the fastest setting. A speed up would be nice.All in all I’m quite happy.

Hace un mes aproximadamente compre la máquina que se debe programar manualmente. Tengo 2 cachorros y por lo tanto encargué 2 máquinas, primero la normal y después la que tiene Wifi, Ayer me llego la maquina con wifi, duro un poco más en llegar que la máquina normal. Haciendo una comparación entre ambas, la verdad es que las 2 cumplen muy bien con su función , que es, alimentar a mis mascotas sin problema, sin embargo, a la hora de programar los horarios de las comidas, si es más fácil hacerlo en la máquina con Wifi, pero créeme, cualquiera de las 2 cumple con la función, así que si no te es posible comprar la de Wifi, compra la normal, no te decepcionará.Dentro de la caja viene una tarjeta de regalo por 20 dólares, pero estos te los dan en moneda canadiense, en mi caso, soy mexicano, por lo tanto no me funcionaba que estuviera en esa moneda, sin embargo, por medio del correo electrónico que te proporcionan en la misma tarjeta, me brindaron ayuda con la tarjeta de regalo y me la cambiaron por dólares estadounidenses, con los cuales si pude comprar cosas. I am very happy with the quality and function of my PETLIBRO. It’s quite easy to program and follows the schedule exactly with no issues. I had to play around with the portion sizes a bit to get it just right for my cat, but I’ve got it set just right for him now. My cat does not self regulate the amount of food he eats, so just leaving a huge bowl of kibble when we are away is not an option. He just gorges himself on the food until he gets sick. The PETLIBRO feeder solves this problem by feeding him the exact portion sizes he needs, when he needs it. I especially like the voice recording feature, that lets him know when his food is ready. One thing to make note of – be sure that the stainless steel bowl liner is seated properly into the bowl. If it’s sticking up at the back where the chute is, a line of kibble will form along the edge and create a dam. Just push down on the liner to make sure it’s properly seated and you won’t have any issues.As a suggestion for future versions of the feeder, it would be nice to be able to turn the program mode on and off without clearing the entire program each time. Kind of like how I can turn my water sprinklers off without having to redo the schedule each time. Another enhancement would be to wi-fi enable the feeder, so that I can program it using an app on my phone. This would be easier than using the small LCD display on the device itself to program it. An app could show me the full schedule on one page and make it easy to make changes to the feeding times or portion sizes.Great product though, and I highly recommend it to any cat owner!

Great machine but will only take small kibbles. One of my cats need dental kibbles which are slightly larger then normal sizes (approx. 1cm)… These don’t fit and get stuck in the mechanism. Otherwise the machine is ultra reliable and easy to use. The voice speaker is cheap sounding, thought loud, but what do you expect soundwise for a feeder.The battery and plug option is great incase of a power outage while I’m away.Setting up the timer is pretty easy (similar to a digital watch alarm) with up to 5 seperate feeding times per day with numerous portion numbers available. I set it to feed my cats 3 times a day with 5 portions per meal (gf is a veterinarian) and we both love it.Only other issue is cleaning is a bit tricky with long food shoot. Otherwise fairly straight forward. Would recommend.
